2021-04-10ARM: dts: am33xx: add aliases for mmc interfacesMans Rullgard
[ Upstream commit 9bbce32a20d6a72c767a7f85fd6127babd1410ac ] Without DT aliases, the numbering of mmc interfaces is unpredictable. Adding them makes it possible to refer to devices consistently. The popular suggestion to use UUIDs obviously doesn't work with a blank device fresh from the factory. See commit fa2d0aa96941 ("mmc: core: Allow setting slot index via device tree alias") for more discussion. 2019-08-13ARM: dts: Fix incomplete dts data for am3 and am4 mmcTony Lindgren
Commit 4e27f752ab8c ("ARM: OMAP2+: Drop mmc platform data for am330x and am43xx") dropped legacy mmc platform data for am3 and am4, but missed the fact that we never updated the dts files for mmc3 that is directly on l3 interconnect instead of l4 interconnect. This leads to a situation with no legacy platform data and incomplete dts data. Let's update the mmc instances on l3 interconnect to probe properly with ti-sysc interconnect target module driver to make mmc3 work again. Let's still keep legacy "ti,hwmods" property around for v5.2 kernel and only drop it later on. Note that there is no need to use property status = "disabled" for mmc3. The default for dts is enabled, and runtime PM will idle unused instances just fine. Fixes: 4e27f752ab8c ("ARM: OMAP2+: Drop mmc platform data for am330x and am43xx") Reported-by: David Lechner <david@lechnology.com> Tested-by: David Lechner <david@lechnology.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>
2018-12-07ARM: dts: Add am335x mcasp with l3 data port rangesTony Lindgren
Earlier attempt to move am335x mcasp to probe with ti-sysc interconnect target module caused audio to stop working and and the dts changes were reverted by commit 5d2632a577ba ("ARM: dts: Revert am335x mcasp ti-sysc changes"). Turns out we were missing the l3 data port ranges for mcasp. This caused mcasp dma to attempt to use wrong port address. So let's try again essentially reverting the earlier revert and adding the missing l3 data port ranges. 2018-10-18ARM: dts: am335x: Move l4 child devices to probe them with ti-syscTony Lindgren
With l4 interconnect hierarchy and ti-sysc interconnect target module data in place, we can simply move all the related child devices to their proper location and enable probing using ti-sysc. In general the first child device address range starts at range 0 from the ti-sysc interconnect target so the move involves adjusting the child device reg properties for that. In case of any regressions, problem devices can be reverted to probe with legacy platform data as needed by moving them back and removing the related interconnect target module node. Note that we are not yet moving dss or wkup_m3, those will be moved later after some related driver changes. 2016-06-28ARM: dts: am335x/am437x/dra7: use new "ti, cpsw-mdio" compat stringGrygorii Strashko
Add "ti,cpsw-mdio" for am335x/am437x/dra7 SoCs where MDIO is implemented as part of TI CPSW and, this way, enable PM runtime auto suspend for Davinci MDIO driver on these paltforms. Signed-off-by: Grygorii Strashko <grygorii.strashko@ti.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2016-06-17Documentation: DT: cpsw: remove rx_descs propertyIvan Khoronzhuk
There is no reason to hold s/w dependent parameter in device tree. Even more, there is no reason in this parameter because davinici_cpdma driver splits pool of descriptors equally between tx and rx channels anyway. 2016-06-10ARM: dts: am33xx: Move to operating-points-v2 table and ti-cpufreq driverDave Gerlach
Drop the operating-points table present in am33xx.dtsi and add an operating-points-v2 table with all OPPs available for all silicon revisions along with necessary data for use by ti-cpufreq to selectively enable the appropriate OPPs at runtime. Also, drop the voltage-tolerance value and provide voltages for each OPP using the <target min max> format instead. Information from AM335x Data Manual, SPRS717i, Revised December 2015, Table 5-7. 2016-06-10ARM: dts: am437x/am33xx: Remove hwmod entries for ECAP and EPWM nodesFranklin S Cooper Jr
Previous patches switched the ECAP and EPWM to use the new bindings. These bindings explicitly adds the various required clocks via DT rather than depending on hwmod. Therefore, it is safe to remove the hwmod entries since they are no longer needed. 2016-06-10ARM: dts: am437x/am33xx/da850: Add new ECAP and EPWM bindingsFranklin S Cooper Jr
Switch to a new ECAP and EPWM bindings that doesn't depend on hwmod to provide the various required clocks. For AM437 and AM335x, add the required clocks explicitly to DT. The hwmod entries for ECAP and EPWM will be removed and this will prevent anything from breaking. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM DT updates from Arnd Bergmann: "These are all the updates to device tree files for 32-bit platforms, which as usual makes up the bulk of the ARM SoC changes: 462 non-merge changesets, 450 files changed, 23340 insertions, 5216 deletions. The three platforms that are added with the "soc" branch are here as well, and we add some related machine files: - For Aspeed AST2400/AST2500, we get the evaluation platform and the Tyan Palmetto POWER8 mainboard that uses the AST2400 BMC - For Oxnas 810SE, the Western Digital "My Book World Edition" is added as the only platform at the moment. - For ARM MPS2, the AN385 (Cortex-M3) and AN399 (Cortex-M7) are supported On the ARM Realview development platform, we now support all machines with device tree, previously only the board files were supported, which in turn will likely be removed soon.
