The update of the vdso data happens under xtime_lock, so adding a
nested lock is pointless. Just use a seqcount to sync the readers.

In an ordinary way,

&gt; } __attribute__ ((aligned (L1_CACHE_BYTES)));

should be

&gt; } ____cacheline_aligned;

to save some bytes on an uni-processor.

revived by Bob Picco) for this with Hidetoshi Seto's fixes
and scaling improvements.
