Move the calls to drm_fb_helper_alloc_info() from drivers into a
single place in fbdev helpers. Allocates struct fb_info for a new
framebuffer device. Then call drm_fb_helper_single_fb_probe() to
create an fbdev screen buffer. Also release the instance on errors
by calling drm_fb_helper_release_info().

Simplifies the code and fixes the error cleanup for some of the
drivers.

Regular release of the struct fb_info instance still happens in
drm_fb_helper_fini() as before.

v2:
- remove error rollback in driver implementations (kernel test robot)
- initialize info in TTM implementation (kernel test robot)

<title>drm/client: Add client free callback to unprepare fb_helper</title>

Add free callback to struct drm_client_funcs. Invoke function to
free the client memory as part of the release process. Implement
free for fbdev emulation.

Fbdev emulation allocates and prepares client memory in
drm_fbdev_client_setup(). The release happens in fb_destroy from
struct fb_ops. Multiple implementations of this callback exist in
the various drivers that provide an fbdev implementation. Each of
them needs to follow the implementation details of the fbdev setup
code.

Adding a free callback for the client puts the unprepare and release
of the fbdev client in a single place.

Plumb the format info from .fb_create() all the way to
drm_helper_mode_fill_fb_struct() to avoid the redundant
lookup.

For the fbdev case a manual drm_get_format_info() lookup
is needed.

The patch is based on the driver parts of the patchset at Link:
below, which missed converting the omap driver.

Due to the absence of this change in the patchset at Link:, after the
Fixed: commit below, omap_framebuffer_init() -&gt;
drm_helper_mode_fill_fb_struct() set drm_framebuffer::format incorrectly

and causing framebuffer creation to fail. This patch fixes both of these
issues.

Rework fbdev probing to support fbdev_probe in struct drm_driver
and remove the old fb_probe callback. Provide an initializer macro
for struct drm_driver that sets the callback according to the kernel
configuration.

Call drm_client_setup() to run the kernel's default client setup
for DRM. Set fbdev_probe in struct drm_driver, so that the client
setup can start the common fbdev client.

The omapdrm driver specifies a preferred color mode of 32. As this
is the default if no format has been given, leave it out entirely.

Store instances of drm_fb_helper and struct omap_fbdev separately.
This will allow omapdrm to use the common fbdev client, which allocates
its own instance of struct drm_fb_helper.

There is at most one instance of each per DRM device, so both can be
referenced directly from the omap and DRM device structures. A later
patchset might rework the common fbdev client to allow for storing
both, drm_fb_helper and omap_fbdev, together in the same place.

Commit 95da53d63dcf ("drm/omapdrm: Use regular fbdev I/O helpers")
stopped console from updating for command mode displays because there is
no damage handling in fb_sys_write() unlike we had earlier in
drm_fb_helper_sys_write().

Let's fix the issue by adding FB_GEN_DEFAULT_DEFERRED_DMAMEM_OPS and
FB_DMAMEM_HELPERS_DEFERRED as suggested by Thomas. We cannot use the
FB_DEFAULT_DEFERRED_OPS as fb_deferred_io_mmap() won't work properly
for write-combine.

The framebuffer console stopped updating with commit f231af498c29
("drm/fb-helper: Disconnect damage worker from update logic").

Let's fix the issue by implementing fb_dirty similar to what was done
with commit 039a72ce7e57 ("drm/i915/fbdev: Implement fb_dirty for intel

The framebuffer console stopped updating with commit f231af498c29
("drm/fb-helper: Disconnect damage worker from update logic").

Let's fix the issue by implementing fb_dirty similar to what was done
with commit 039a72ce7e57 ("drm/i915/fbdev: Implement fb_dirty for intel
custom fb helper").

Change the infix for fbdev's DMA-memory helpers from _DMA_ to
_DMAMEM_. The helpers perform operations within DMA-able memory,
but they don't perform DMA operations. Naming should make this
clear. Adapt all users. No functional changes.
