Commit 399516ab0fee ("MAINTAINERS: Add a bunch of legacy (UMS) DRM drivers")
marked r128 driver obsolete 7 years ago.
And the mesa UMD of this drm driver already in deprecated list
in the link: https://docs.mesa3d.org/systems.html
ATI Rage 128-&gt;drivers/gpu/drm/r128

It's time to remove this driver.

See https://lore.kernel.org/r/YkwQ6%2BtIH8GQpuct@zn.tnic for the gory
details as to why it triggers with older gccs only.

Fix a build error on CONFIG_UML, which does not support (provide)
wbinvd(). UML can use the generic mb() instead.

../drivers/gpu/drm/r128/ati_pcigart.c:218:2: error: implicit declaration of function ‘wbinvd’ [-Werror=implicit-function-declaration]

Hide the DRM midlayer behind CONFIG_DRM_LEGACY, make functions use
the prefix drm_legacy_, and move declarations to drm_legacy.h.
In struct drm_device, move the fields irq and irq_enabled behind
CONFIG_DRM_LEGACY.

All callers have been updated.

After removing drm_pci_alloc/free, some instances where drm_pci_free()
would have kfreed the dma handle were skipped.

Ensure these handles are freed properly.

After removing drm_pci_alloc/free, some instances where drm_pci_free()
would have kfreed the dma handle were skipped.

Ensure these handles are freed properly.

There are some places at drm that ended receiving a
REPLACEMENT CHARACTER U+fffd (''), probably because of
some bad charset conversion.

Fix them by using what it seems	to be the proper
character.

<title>drm: Mark AGP implementation and ioctls as legacy</title>

Only UMs drivers use DRM's core AGP code and ioctls. Mark the icotls
as legacy. Add the _legacy_ infix to all AGP functions. Move the
declarations to the public and internal legacy header files. The agp
field in struct drm_device is now located in the structure's legacy
section. Adapt drivers to the changes.

AGP code now depends on CONFIG_DRM_LEGACY.
