Recent changes linux mainline resulted in warning:
"genirq: Warn about using IRQF_ONESHOT without a threaded handler"
when HID sensor hub is used.

When INDIO_BUFFER_TRIGGERED is used, the core attaches a poll function
when enabling the buffer. This poll function uses request_threaded_irq()
with both bottom half and top half handlers. But when using HID
sensor hub, bottom half (thread handler) is not registered.

In HID sensors, once a sensor is powered on, the hub collects samples
and pushes data to the host when programmed thresholds are met. When
this data is received for a sensor, it is pushed using
iio_push_to_buffers_with_ts().

The sensor is powered ON or OFF based on the trigger callback
set_trigger_state() when the poll function is attached. During the call
to iio_triggered_buffer_setup_ext(), the HID sensor specifies only a
handler function but provides no thread handler, as there is no data
to read from the hub in thread context. Internally, this results in
calling request_threaded_irq(). Recent kernel changes now warn when
request_threaded_irq() is called without a thread handler.

To address this issue, fundamental changes are required to avoid using
iio_triggered_buffer_setup_ext(). HID sensors can use
INDIO_BUFFER_SOFTWARE instead of INDIO_BUFFER_TRIGGERED, as this can
work in trigger-less mode.

In this approach, when user space opens the buffer, the sensor is powered
on, and when the buffer is closed, the sensor is powered off using
iio_buffer_setup_ops callbacks.

pm_runtime_put_autosuspend(), pm_runtime_put_sync_autosuspend(),

With the introduction of multi-channel support in commit 596ef5cf654b
("iio: hid-sensor-prox: Add support for more channels"), each channel
requires an independent SCALE calculation, but the existing code only
calculates SCALE for a single channel.

Addresses the problem by modifying the driver to perform independent
SCALE calculations for each channel.

The iio_triggered_buffer_setup_ext() and the
devm_iio_kfifo_buffer_setup_ext() were changed by
commit 15097c7a1adc ("iio: buffer: wrap all buffer attributes into iio_dev_attr")
to silently expect that all attributes given in buffer_attrs array are
device-attributes. This expectation was not forced by the API - and some
drivers did register attributes created by IIO_CONST_ATTR().

When using IIO_CONST_ATTRs the added attribute "wrapping" does not copy
the pointer to stored string constant and when the sysfs file is read the
kernel will access to invalid location.

Change the function signatures to expect an array of iio_dev_attrs to
avoid similar errors in the future.

Merge conflict resolved whilst applying due to patch crossing with
two new drivers (kx022a accelerometer and ad4130 ADC).

Now that output (kfifo) buffers are supported, we need to extend the
{devm_}iio_triggered_buffer_setup_ext() parameter list to take a direction
parameter.

This allows us to attach an output triggered buffer to a DAC device.
Unfortunately it's a bit difficult to add another macro to avoid changing 5
drivers where {devm_}iio_triggered_buffer_setup_ext() is used.
Well, it's doable, but may not be worth the trouble vs just updating all
these 5 drivers.

Unfortunately it's a bit difficult to add another macro to avoid changing 5
drivers where {devm_}iio_triggered_buffer_setup_ext() is used.
Well, it's doable, but may not be worth the trouble vs just updating all
these 5 drivers.
