More than a handful of changes for SPMI. I'm bringing on Abel
Vesa to help maintain SPMI so the tree may change in the future
but we'll probably continue to send patches when the pile is
small.

The big change here is that we gained a new function
spmi_subdevice_alloc_and_add() to support complex PMICs that have
different devices spread throughout the SPMI address. We've grown
subdevice drivers that use OF APIs directly to figure out some
base address to add to all their register read/write operations
which is tightly coupling our parent/child drivers. This change
allows us to clean all those drivers up to use standard device
APIs and their own regmap instead of relying on a parent SPMI
driver to do all the heavy lifting. The series also updated
drivers that could use the new API and I picked those all up
because they were acked by maintainers.

Beyond that we have some minor fixes to the Qualcomm and Mediatek
SPMI drivers for bugs in software and hardware and a couple
maintainer updates as stated earlier.

Some Qualcomm PMICs integrate a charger for coincells, usually
powering an RTC when external (or main battery) power is missing.

Instead of using the parent SPMI device (the main PMIC) as a kind
of syscon in this driver, register a new SPMI sub-device and
initialize its own regmap with this sub-device's specific base
address, retrieved from the devicetree.

This allows to stop manually adding the register base address to
every R/W call in this driver, as this can be, and is now, handled
by the regmap API instead.

The TC9564_PCI config option selects PCI_DYNAMIC_OF_NODES. But that
depends on OF_IRQ, and TC9564_PCI does not satisfy that dependency.
Simply adding "depends on OF_IRQ" results in a recursive Kconfig
dependency.

A little experimentation shows that *depending on* rather than
*selecting* PCI_QUIRKS allows us to avoid the recursion when
depending on OF_IRQ.

Separately, PCI_DYNAMIC_OF_NODES is a user-visible option, so it
should be depended on, not selected. Changing this allows some
further simplification.

PCI_DYNAMIC_OF_NODES is only exposed as an option if PCI is enabled,
so by depending on it, we can omit the dependency on PCI.

Additionally, PCI_DYNAMIC_OF_NODES depends on OF_IRQ, so we can omit
the explicit OF_IRQ dependency.

Finally, OF_IRQ is only exposed as an option if OF is enabled, so we
can skip explicitly depending on OF as well.

In summary, depending on (rather than selecting) PCI_DYNAMIC_OF_NODES
satisfies the dependencies on PCI, OF_IRQ, and OF. We still need to
*depend on* PCI_QUIRKS, to avoid the circular dependency related to
OF_IRQ.

Simplify the dependencies for TC9564_PCI to just depending on
PCI_DYNAMIC_OF_NODES and PCI_QUIRKS.

The Toshiba TC9564 is small and highly-specialized SoC that implements
a PCIe switch as well as an Ethernet AVB/TSN bridge. In addition to
these, the SoC implements other functions, including a reset and clock
controller, an address translation unit, and a few other devices. PCIe
BARs provide access to registers that manage these IP blocks, and the
SoC is modeled using a PCI endpoint bus in devicetree. This allows the
IP blocks to be bound to platform drivers that do MMIO via the PCI BARs.

Create a new PCI driver under drivers/misc that binds with the embedded
PCI endpoint functions within the TC9564 SoC. Because these functions
will use devicetree pci-ep-bus to provide access to other IP blocks
within the TC9564 chip, the main purpose of this driver is to do basic
PCI initialization, then call of_platform_default_populate() to scan for
the any endpoint bus children, and probe all devices defined therein.

Because we're using pci-ep-bus, we need to use the PCI quirks mechanism
to have of_pci_make_dev_node() be called for each endpoint device in
pci_bus_add_device() (via pci_fixup_device(pci_fixup_final, dev)).

<title>misc: ibmasm: Remove obsolete IBM Remote Supervisor Adapter driver</title>

The IBM Remote Supervisor Adapter (RSA) and RSA II were out-of-band
management PCI/ISA cards introduced in the early 2000s for ancient
IBM eServer xSeries machines. IBM deprecated the RSA family and
replaced it with the Integrated Management Module (IMM) around 2008.
IBM subsequently sold its x86 server business to Lenovo in 2014, and
modern systems use entirely different BMC architectures.

This hardware has been completely obsolete and out of production for
over 15 years. Surviving physical servers using this specific hardware
would be running ancient 32-bit processors vastly unsuited for modern
kernels.

A review of the recent git history shows that aside from mechanical
treewide VFS API updates, the only recent activities are out-of-bounds
fixes in command_file_write and MFA handling. These fixes address
userspace-triggered security vulnerabilities and fuzzer-discovered
MMIO bugs rather than functional issues reported by active hardware users.

Keeping this obsolete driver in the tree leaves an unnecessary attack
surface and acts as a "fuzzing honeypot", forcing core maintainers to
endlessly review CVEs and OOB fixes for dead hardware, while also paying
a maintenance tax to drag it through modern API refactorings.

Remove the driver entirely.

During review of a lifetime fix for this driver, it turned out that the
role-switch path has no upstream DT binding or in-tree user and has not
been tested in years.

Rather than keep carrying and fixing an effectively unused board-specific
driver, remove it. If this functionality is needed again later, it can be
reintroduced in drivers/phy/, where USB role-switch support lives today.

The ISSEI (Intel Silicon Security Engine Interface)
subsystem provides a communication channel between the host and the
Silicon Security Engine.

Prepare basic driver functions and character device
for user-space communication.
Add DMA access routines for ISSEI HECI devices.
Add of DMA-related structures and implementation of routines for
setting up DMA, as well as reading and writing DMA buffers.

<title>misc: Remove old APDS990x driver</title>

The APDS990x driver in misc lacks DeviceTree support, and no mainline
pre-DT board files configured this device using apds990x_platform_data.

This driver belongs to a legacy group of ambient light sensor drivers in
drivers/misc/ that predates the migration to DT and the standard IIO ABI.

Since the Avago APDS9900/9901 ALS/Proximity sensor is now supported by
the tsl2772 IIO driver and there are no active users in the kernel tree,
remove this old implementation.
