Failure of kzalloc should cause the enclosing function
to return -ENOMEM, not -ENODEV.

Additionally, removed the following checkpatch warnings:
ERROR: spaces required around that '==' (ctx:VxV)
ERROR: space required before the open parenthesis '('
CHECK: Comparison to NULL could be written "!lp"

<title>net: am79c961a: avoid %? in inline assembly</title>

The am79c961a.c driver fails to build with clang because of an
unusual inline assembly construct:

drivers/net/ethernet/amd/am79c961a.c:53:7: error: invalid % escape in inline assembly string
 "str%?h %1, [%2] @ NET_RAP\n\t"

The same change has been done a decade ago in arch/arm as of
6a39dd6222dd ("[ARM] 3759/2: Remove uses of %?"), but apparently
some drivers were missed.

The warning about being able to read any MDIO device, not just the
attached ethernet devices PHY applies to all MDIO drivers. So remove
it. This also removes a reference to a member in phy_device which has
moved.

Have mdio_alloc() create the array of interrupt numbers, and
initialize it to POLLING. This is what most MDIO drivers want, so
allowing code to be removed from the drivers.

Many Ethernet drivers contain the same netdev_info() print statement
about the attached phy. Move it into the phy device code. Additionally
add a varargs function which can be used to append additional
information.

Here we had an overlapping change, where in 'net' the extraneous stats
bump was being removed whilst in 'net-next' the final argument to
udp_tunnel6_xmit_skb() was being changed.

At the end of the loop we test "if (!count)" but because "count--" is
a post-op then the loop will end with count set to -1. I have fixed
this by changing it to --count.
