Similar to bfa_fcs_fabric_nsymb_init(), bfa_fcs_fabric_psymb_init() builds the port symbolic name using strscpy() and a chain of seven or eight strlcat() calls. In preparation for removing the deprecated strlcat() API[1], replace the chained strscpy() and strlcat() calls with a single snprintf() call. An empty host_os_patch naturally contributes no characters through %s, allowing both cases to be handled by the same snprintf() call. Since snprintf() also NUL-terminates the destination, the explicit final NUL assignment can be dropped. Back in the 2.6.xx days, it was possible to for low-level drivers to set the shost lock pointer. That is why there is a default lock and a pointer to the shost lock. However, support for this has long been removed, so drop Scsi_Host.default_lock and make Scsi_Host.host_lock as the actual lock. Getting the address of embedded host_lock structure just requires adding a fixed offset value to the shost pointer. However, getting the value of the host_lock pointer requires loading from a fixed offset to the shost pointer. The latter should be very slightly slower, which is relevant as this lock is used a lot throughout the core code and drivers. two fairly large variables on the stack, to the point of causing a
warning in some randconfig builds:

Mark the inner function as noinline_for_stack to keep it separate from

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using
git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'
to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.
Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.
For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union object instances: Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...) Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...) Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...) In clang version 21.1 and later the -Wimplicit-enum-enum-cast warning option has been introduced. This warning is enabled by default and can be used to catch .queuecommand() implementations that return another value than 0 or one of the SCSI_MLQUEUE_* constants. Hence this patch that changes the return type of the .queuecommand() implementations from 'int' into 'enum scsi_qc_status'. No functionality has been changed. The function bfa_lps_is_brcd_fabric() was eliminated, being a one-line
function, in commit f7f73812e950 ("[SCSI] bfa: clean up one line
functions"). Replace the call in the comment by its inlined
counterpart, referring to the parameter of the subsequent function.
