The expected return value from ion_map_kernel is an ERR_PTR. The error
path for a vmalloc failure currently just returns NULL, triggering

Currently the allocation of priv-&gt;oldaddr is not null checked which will
lead to subsequent errors when accessing priv-&gt;oldaddr.  Fix this with

Since ion alloc can be called by userspace,eg gralloc.
When it is called frequently, the efficiency of kswapd is
to low. And the reclaimed memory is too lower. In this way,
the kswapd can use to much cpu resources.

With 3.5GB DMA Zone and 0.5 Normal Zone.

pgscan_kswapd_dma 10428250
pgscan_kswapd_normal 37840094

With this change the reclaim ratio has greatly improved
18.9% -&gt; 72.5%

staging: wlan-ng: prism2mgmt.c: This patches fixes a double endian conversion.
cpu_to_le16() was called twice first in prism2mgmt_scan and again inside
hfa384x_drvr_setconfig16() for the same variable, hence it was swapped
twice. Incidentally, it also fixed the following sparse warning:

drivers/staging/wlan-ng/prism2mgmt.c:173:30: warning: incorrect type in assignment (different base types)
drivers/staging/wlan-ng/prism2mgmt.c:173:30:    expected unsigned short [unsigned] [usertype] word

The root issue is that we are not allowed to have items on the
stack being passed to "DMA" like operations. In this case we have
a vmcall and an inline completion of scsi command.

This patch fixes the issue by moving the variables on stack in
do_scsi_nolinuxstat() to heap memory.

ashmem_mutex may create a chain of dependencies like:

 -&gt; ashmem_mmap                            -&gt; ashmem_mutex (acquired)
    -&gt; ashmem_mutex (try to acquire)       -&gt; copy_from_user
                                              -&gt; mmap_sem (try to acquire)

There is a lock odering problem between mmap_sem and ashmem_mutex causing
a lockdep splat[1] during a syzcaller test. This patch fixes the problem
by move copy_from_user out of ashmem_mutex.
