Pull timer core updates from Thomas Gleixner:
 "Updates for the core timekeeping and timers subsystem:

   - Futher cleanups for the POSIX timer exit/exec related code to
     simplify the code flow and to make it more robust against future
     changes.

   - Prevent tearing of timekeeper::ktime_sec which can be accessed
     without the sequence count protection.

     The timekeeper is updated by memcpy() with an uneven sequence count
     to force readers into the retry path. On 64-bit machine the
     ktime_sec member can be accessed atomically without the sequence
     count protection. That is only correct when the update side
     memcpy() guarantees atomicity at the 64-bit granularity. That's not
     guaranteed due to debug options, compilers and instruction
     availability. If the memcpy() does not provide the atomicity then
     the unprotected readers can observe store tearing.

     To prevent this write the ktime_sec member before the memcpy() so
     that a non-atomic memcpy() will write the same data. A similar fix
     has been done for the xtime_sec member, but the ktime_sec
     equivalent was missed.

   - Prevent time64_to_tm() day truncation on 32-bit kernels

     The function receives a 64-bit seconds value but stores the
     quotient of the computation in a long, which truncates the result
     for large input values. Cure this by using div_s64_rem() which
     stores the quotient in s64 and only leaves the seconds-within-day
     reminder in a long, which is guaranteed to fit. This fix comes with
     a corresponding kunit test to prevent further mishaps.

   - Mark data-racy accesses to the hrtimer_sleeper::task member.

     The recent updates to KCSAN flagged these benign races. Annotate
     them with new helper functions, convert all existing usage sites
     and mark the task member private after that so that future users
     which fail to use the helpers can be detected automatically.

   - Address similar benign KCSAN flagged issues in the hrtimer, timer
     and timer migration code.

   - Fixes for a few selftest issues"

<title>futex: Fix mm reuse handling for FUT_OFF_MMSHARED</title>

A FUT_OFF_MMSHARED futex is a shared futex that refers to an MM.
It is possible for a process to wait on a shared futex with a different MM
because a FUT_OFF_INODE waiter can be requeued onto a FUT_OFF_MMSHARED
futex by another process.
This can cause FUT_OFF_MMSHARED waiters on a freed MM to consume
wakeups intended for a newly allocated MM at the same address.

Fix it by keying FUT_OFF_MMSHARED using a unique 64-bit per-MM ID.
Leave private futexes as before to avoid influencing the performance of the
hotpath.

(Multi-threaded processes typically implicitly use FUT_OFF_MMSHARED by
setting clear_child_tid such that it points into anonymous memory, which
causes mm_release() in a multi-threaded mm to perform FUTEX_WAKE.)

<title>futex: Fix private hash use-after-free on resize</title>

poll_state_synchronize_rcu(mm-&gt;futex.phash.batches) is used by
futex_ref_drop() to check that a grace period has passed since the
current hash was published. This relies on batches referencing a grace
period which started after the hash pointer was assigned.

__futex_pivot_hash() sets mmph-&gt;batches before it replaces mmph-&gt;hash:

    scoped_guard(rcu) {
            mmph-&gt;batches = get_state_synchronize_rcu();
            rcu_assign_pointer(mmph-&gt;hash, new);
    }

The scoped_guard(rcu) doesn't stop new grace periods from starting, and
if one starts between those two assignments, futex_ref_drop() can move
forward while a reader still holds a pointer to the old hash.

Fix things by setting mmph-&gt;batches after assigning mmph-&gt;hash. The
scoped_guard(rcu) isn't needed, so let's drop that as well.

The hrtimer_sleeper structure's -&gt;task field is used as a flag to indicate
that the associated hrtimer has expired. This means that the hrtimer
handler can be storing to this field while other code is loading from it
to check for expiry. Note that additional races appear for hrtimers that
can be restarted, which could be argued to be a user error. However, that
is no reason to let the compiler introduce additional confusion, and to
this end, the hrtimer_sleeper_task_get() was introduced, use of which also
has the benefit of avoiding open-code access to hrtimer_sleeper innards.

Therefore, apply this accessor to handle_early_requeue_pi_wakeup().

This is another run of the Coccinelle script for converting kmalloc()
family of allocations to kmalloc_obj() via the existing rules in
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci

This catches both the set of kmalloc() uses added since the first
kmalloc_obj() conversions in v7.0 and adds a large group missed in the
first pass due to Coccinelle not interacting well with the cleanup.h

This is another run of the Coccinelle script for converting kmalloc()
family of allocations to kmalloc_obj() via the existing rules in
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci

This catches both the set of kmalloc() uses added since the first
kmalloc_obj() conversions in v7.0 and adds a large group missed in the
first pass due to Coccinelle not interacting well with the cleanup.h

On PREEMPT_RT, FUTEX_CMP_REQUEUE_PI can trigger a KASAN report
(slab-out-of-bounds) in futex_requeue_pi_complete() invocation of
rcuwait_wake_up().

The futex_q used by futex_wait_requeue_pi() is allocated on the waiter's
stack. An early wakeup can race with a PI requeue as follows:

        waiter                          requeue task
        ------                          ------------
futex_wait_requeue_pi()
  futex_do_wait()
    schedule()
                                       futex_requeue
                                         futex_proxy_trylock_atomic()
                                           futex_requeue_pi_prepare()
                                            Q_REQUEUE_PI_NONE -&gt; Q_REQUEUE_PI_IN_PROGRESS
* timeout/ signal wakes waiter *
  futex_requeue_pi_wakeup_sync()
   Q_REQUEUE_PI_IN_PROGRESS -&gt; Q_REQUEUE_PI_WAIT
                                           requeue_pi_wake_futex
                                             futex_requeue_pi_complete()
                                               cmpxchg Q_REQUEUE_PI_WAIT -&gt; Q_REQUEUE_PI_LOCKED
    rcuwait_wait_event()
      if (atomic_read(&amp;q-&gt;requeue_state) != Q_REQUEUE_PI_WAIT)
       break /* no schedule() */

 /* q.pi_state-&gt;owner == current */
 futex_private_hash_put()
 /* return from syscall */
                                              rcuwait_wake_up(&amp;q-&gt;requeue_wait)
                                                /* q is gone */

futex_requeue_pi_complete() publishes Q_REQUEUE_PI_LOCKED before
calling rcuwait_wake_up(). The waiter observes this state in
rcuwait_wait_event() before invoking schedule() in rcuwait_wait_event().
Here, the waiter is free leave the syscall before requeue task can
complete the wake.

To address this race skip rcuwait_wake_up() in the Q_REQUEUE_PI_LOCKED
case.
This state is only published by requeue_pi_wake_futex(), which saves
q-&gt;task before futex_requeue_pi_complete() and wakes the waiter via
wake_up_state().

This wake is intended to wake the waiter from its futex_do_wait() sleep.
If the waiter is still sleeping there, it can not get into the
Q_REQUEUE_PI_WAIT state (and require this removed wake).
Should the waiter be woken up from futex_do_wait() by other means (as in
this example) and sleep in futex_requeue_pi_wakeup_sync() then the
wake_up_state() from requeue_pi_wake_futex() will wake it, too.
Should the waiter task terminate before wake_up_state() had a chance to
wake the task then the task pointer does not become invalid because the
futex_hash_bucket::lock is held and the task pointer is RCU protected.

<title>futex: Provide rt_mutex_.*_schedule() equivalents for futex scheduling</title>

There is rt_mutex_{pre|post}_schedule() around
rt_mutex_wait_proxy_lock() to ensure that sched_submit_work()/
sched_update_worker() is invoked before we schedule out and block on
rt_mutex while waiting for it become available.

The reason is that blocking on rt_mutex assigns a pi_waiter for the PI
chain and sched_submit_work() will also assign a pi_waiter if it blocks
on lock but a this point we already have a waiter assigned.
We can't skip sched_submit_work() entirely because I/O relies on the
fact that I/O queue is flushed while it blocks on a sleeping lock.
Therefore sched_submit_work() is moved before we block on the lock.

Sleeping lock in this context means mutex or rw_semaphore not spinlock_t
on PREEMPT_RT. Because the mutex abstraction on PREEMPT_RT uses the same
abstraction as the futex proxy lock, the futex code ended up using
rt_mutex_{pre|post}_schedule(), too.
Using it is/ was just to keep the task_struct::sched_rt_mutex assertion
happy. Futex proxy lock is used only in the syscall context of a task.
At this point it never got any I/O that needs to be flushed and it can't
be a workqueue that needs to notify that it will be scheduled out.
Therefore sched_submit_work() does nothing here.

By mistake futex_wait_requeue_pi() -&gt; rt_mutex_wait_proxy_lock() did not
get the rt_mutex_{pre|post}_schedule() annotation. This was not noticed
because in this callchain the lock is (usually) not contended and so
rt_mutex_slowlock_block() does not schedule, triggering the assert.

Adding rt_mutex_pre_schedule() here looks wrong (as noted by PeterZ)
because at this point there is a pi_waiter recorded and invoking
sched_submit_work() with a possible lock contention would be wrong.

Add rt_mutex_futex_{pre|post}_schedule() which toggles the
sched_rt_mutex assert and does not involve sched_submit_work(). Add
asserts here to ensure that sched_submit_work() would do nothing. Use it
only in futex proxy lock case which is rt_mutex_wait_proxy_lock().
Remove it from futex_lock_pi().
