Replace dma_request_slave_channel() by dma_request_chan() as suggested

devm_platform_ioremap_resource() does not report the error itself,
but the error is already reported deeper in the call chain,
so the dev_err() calls are redundant and can be removed.

<title>ASoC: pxa: Use devm_clk_get_optional() for extclk clock</title>

The Device Tree binding defines the extclk clock as an optional
property, but the driver currently uses devm_clk_get() and manually
handles the absence of the clock.

Use devm_clk_get_optional() to match the binding and simplify the
optional clock handling. This also propagates errors other than the
absence of the optional clock, including -EPROBE_DEFER.

This changes the existing behavior for errors other than
-EPROBE_DEFER. RFC to discuss whether these errors should cause probe
to fail rather than being treated as an unavailable optional clock.

The pxa2xx sound library modules are only used by the ASoC driver since
commit b094de7810f3 ("ASoC: codec: Remove pxa2xx-ac97.c"), so move the

We have been used pcm_new()/pcm_free(), but switched to
pcm_construct()/pcm_destruct() to use extra parameters [1].

pcm_new()/free() had been removed [2], but each drivers are still
using such function naming. Let's name back to pcm_new()/pcm_free()
again.

<title>Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument</title>

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\&lt;k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

<title>treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types</title>

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".
