It's recently changed to allocate dynamically but misses to update some
arch-dependent codes to use perf_sample__user_regs().

Make the tests code its own library. This is done to avoid compiling
code twice, once for the perf tool and once for the perf python
module.

<title>perf thread: Add accessor functions for thread</title>

Using accessors will make it easier to add reference count checking in
later patches.

Committer notes:

thread-&gt;nsinfo wasn't wrapped as it is used together with
nsinfo__zput(), where does a trick to set the field with a refcount
being dropped to NULL, and that doesn't work well with using
thread__nsinfo(thread), that loses the &amp;thread-&gt;nsinfo pointer.

When refcount checking is added to 'struct thread', later in this
series, nsinfo__zput(RC_CHK_ACCESS(thread)-&gt;nsinfo) will be used to
check the thread pointer.

Later changes will add reference count checking for struct map, start
and end are frequently accessed variables. Add an accessor so that the
reference count check is only necessary in one place.

Rather than export test functions, export the test struct. Rename with a
suite__ prefix to avoid name collisions.

Committer notes:

Its '&amp;suite__vectors_page', not '&amp;suite__vectors_pages', noticed when
cross building to arm (32-bit).

Rather than export test functions, export the test struct. Rename with a
suite__ prefix to avoid name collisions.

Committer notes:

Its '&amp;suite__vectors_page', not '&amp;suite__vectors_pages', noticed when
cross building to arm (32-bit).

By switching to an array of pointers to tests (later to be suites)
the definition of the tests can be moved to the file containing the
tests.

Committer notes:

It's "&amp;vectors_page", not "&amp;vectors_pages", noticed when cross building
to 32-bit ARM.

Also the DEFINE_SUITE(vectors_page) should be done where its function is
implemented, in tools/perf/arch/arm/tests/vectors-page.c, so that we can
make it static, as we don't have anymore its declaration in tests.h.

<title>perf bench: Update the copies of x86's mem{cpy,set}_64.S</title>

And update linux/linkage.h, which requires in turn that we make these
files switch from ENTRY()/ENDPROC() to SYM_FUNC_START()/SYM_FUNC_END():

  tools/perf/arch/arm64/tests/regs_load.S
  tools/perf/arch/arm/tests/regs_load.S
  tools/perf/arch/powerpc/tests/regs_load.S
  tools/perf/arch/x86/tests/regs_load.S

We also need to switch SYM_FUNC_START_LOCAL() to SYM_FUNC_START() for
the functions used directly by 'perf bench', and update
tools/perf/check_headers.sh to ignore those changes when checking if the
kernel original files drifted from the copies we carry.

This is to get the changes from:

  6dcc5627f6ae ("x86/asm: Change all ENTRY+ENDPROC to SYM_FUNC_*")
ef1e03152cb0 ("x86/asm: Make some functions local")
  e9b9d020c487 ("x86/asm: Annotate aliases")

And address these tools/perf build warnings:

Warning: Kernel ABI header at 'tools/arch/x86/lib/memcpy_64.S' differs from latest version at 'arch/x86/lib/memcpy_64.S'
  diff -u tools/arch/x86/lib/memcpy_64.S arch/x86/lib/memcpy_64.S
