2022-04-20dt-bindings: net: qcom, ipa: add optional qcom, qmp propertyAlex Elder
commit ac62a0174d62ae0f4447c0c8cf35a8e5d793df56 upstream. For some systems, the IPA driver must make a request to ensure that its registers are retained across power collapse of the IPA hardware. On such systems, we'll use the existence of the "qcom, qmp" property as a signal that this request is required. 2021-08-12dt-bindings: net: qcom, ipa: make imem interconnect optionalAlex Elder
On some newer SoCs, the interconnect between IPA and SoC internal memory (imem) is not used. Update the binding to indicate that having just the memory and config interconnects is another allowed configuration. 2021-08-03Revert "Merge branch 'qcom-dts-updates'"Alex Elder
This reverts commit b79c6fba6cd7c49a7dbea9999e182f74cca63e19, reversing these changes made to 0ac26271344478ff718329fa9d4ef81d4bcbc43b: commit 6a0eb6c9d934 ("dt-bindings: net: qcom, ipa: make imem interconnect optional") commit f8bd3c82bf7d ("arm64: dts: qcom: sc7280: add IPA information") commit fd0f72c34bd9 ("arm64: dts: qcom: sc7180: define ipa_fw_mem node") I intend for these commits to go through the Qualcomm repository, to avoid conflicting with other activity being merged there. 2021-07-20dt-bindings: net: qcom, ipa: make imem interconnect optionalAlex Elder
On some newer SoCs, the interconnect between IPA and SoC internal memory (imem) is not used. Reflect this in the binding by moving the definition of the "imem" interconnect to the end and defining minItems to be 2 for both the interconnects and interconnect-names properties. 2021-05-17dt-bindings: More removals of type references on common propertiesRob Herring
Users of common properties shouldn't have a type definition as the common schemas already have one. A few new ones slipped in and *-names was missed in the last clean-up pass. Drop all the unnecessary type references in the tree. A meta-schema update to catch these is pending. 2021-04-16dt-bindings: net: qcom, ipa: add firmware-name propertyAlex Elder
Add a new optional firmware-name property to the IPA DT node. It is used only if the modem is not doing early initialization (i.e., if the modem-init property is not present). Its value is the name of the firmware file to use; if it's not specified, a default name ("ipa_fws.mdt") is used. Signed-off-by: Alex Elder <elder@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2021-04-13dt-bindings: net: qcom, ipa: add support for SM8350Alex Elder
Add support for "qcom,sm8350-ipa", which uses IPA v4.9. Use "enum" rather than "oneOf/const ..." to specify compatible strings, as suggested by Rob Herring. Signed-off-by: Alex Elder <elder@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2021-04-11dt-bindings: net: qcom, ipa: add some compatible stringsAlex Elder

2021-01-21dt-bindings: net: remove modem-remoteproc propertyAlex Elder
The IPA driver uses the remoteproc SSR notifier now, rather than the temporary IPA notification system used initially. As a result it no longer needs a property identifying the modem subsystem DT node. Use GIC_SPI rather than 0 in the example interrupt definition. 2020-12-18dt-bindings: Fix JSON pointersRob Herring
The correct syntax for JSON pointers begins with a '/' after the '#'. Without a '/', the string should be interpreted as a subschema identifier. The jsonschema module currently doesn't handle subschema identifiers and incorrectly allows JSON pointers to begin without a '/'. Let's fix this before it becomes a problem when jsonschema module is fixed. 2020-05-14dt-bindings: Fix incorrect 'reg' property sizesRob Herring
The examples template is a 'simple-bus' with a size of 1 cell for had between 2 and 4 cells which really only errors on I2C or SPI type devices with a single cell. The easiest fix in most cases is to change the 'reg' property to for 1 cell address and size. In some cases with child devices having 2 cells, that doesn't make sense so a bus node is needed. 2020-05-04dt-bindings: net: add IPA iommus propertyAlex Elder
The IPA accesses "IMEM" and main system memory through an SMMU, so its DT node requires an iommus property to define range of stream IDs it uses. Signed-off-by: Alex Elder <elder@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2020-05-03dt-bindings: Remove cases of 'allOf' containing a '$ref'Rob Herring
json-schema versions draft7 and earlier have a weird behavior in that any keywords combined with a '$ref' are ignored (silently). The correct form was to put a '$ref' under an 'allOf'. This behavior is now changed in the 2019-09 json-schema spec and '$ref' can be mixed with other keywords. The json-schema library doesn't yet support this, but the tooling now does a fixup for this and either way works. This has been a constant source of review comments, so let's change this treewide so everyone copies the simpler syntax. Scripted with ruamel.yaml with some manual fixups. Some minor whitespace changes from the script. 2020-03-12dt-bindings: soc: qcom: fix IPA bindingAlex Elder
The definitions for the "qcom,smem-states" and "qcom,smem-state-names" properties need to list their "$ref" under an "allOf" keyword. In addition, fix two problems in the example at the end: - Use #include for header files that define needed symbolic values - Terminate the line that includes the "ipa-shared" register space name with a comma rather than a semicolon Finally, update some white space in the example for better alignment.
