2010-08-25Allow PHYS_OFFSET to be runtime determinedUwe Kleine-König
This bases on work done earlier by Lennert Buytenhek and Mark A. Greer. Compared to their approach zreladdr isn't guessed based on the pc register but the bootloader is expected to pass PHYS_OFFSET in r3. If that value doesn't look right (e.g. isn't aligned) it is guessed based on the value of sp. This should work for CONFIG_ZBOOT_ROM, too. To use it for your machine removing the definition of PHYS_OFFSET from <mach/memory.h> and selecting CONFIG_RUNTIME_PHYS_OFFSET should be enough. Enable partial low interrupt latency mode for ARM1136 This patch is a workaround for the 364296 ARM1136 r0pX errata (possible cache data corruption with hit-under-miss enabled). It sets the undocumented bit 31 in the auxiliary control register and the FI bit in the control register, thus disabling hit-under-miss without putting the processor into full low interrupt latency mode. faulty ASID commit cdf357f1e13a08a11261edacb3083746f65c1ed9 upstream. On versions of the Cortex-A9 prior to r2p0, performing TLB invalidations by ASID match can result in the incorrect ASID being broadcast to other CPUs. As a consequence of this, the targetted TLB entries are not invalidated across the system. This workaround changes the TLB flushing routines to invalidate entries regardless of the ASID. CPU performance event counters on v7 cores will only operate if either the NIDEN or DBGEN signals are driven high. For the OMAP3 platform, these signals are driven low by default but DBGEN can be asserted by selecting the OMAP3_EMU Kconfig option, which enables the virtual clock for hardware debugging peripherals. Enable hardware perf-events if CPU_HAS_PMU and select HAVE_OPROFILE if HAVE_PERF_EVENTS. If no hardware support is present, OProfile will fall back to timer mode.
