2018-07-11ARM: dts: imx6q: Use correct SDMA script for SPI5 coreSean Nyekjaer
commit df07101e1c4a29e820df02f9989a066988b160e6 upstream. According to the reference manual the shp_2_mcu / mcu_2_shp scripts must be used for devices connected through the SPBA. This fixes an issue we saw with DMA transfers. Sometimes the SPI controller RX FIFO was not empty after a DMA transfer and the driver got stuck in the next PIO transfer when it read one word more than expected. commit dd4b487b32a35 ("ARM: dts: imx6: Use correct SDMA script for SPI cores") is fixing the same issue but only for SPI1 - 4. [ Upstream commit 79c81facdc0b43b1cef37b8d5689a8c8b78f8be0 ] Since 517e7a1537a ("ASoC: bcm2835: move to use the clock framework") the bcm2835-i2s requires a clock as DT property. [ Upstream commit 0a5aff64f20d92c5a6e9aeed7b5950b0b817bcd9 ] Jon attempted to fix the amount of RAM on the BCM958625HR in commit c53beb47f621 ("ARM: dts: NSP: Correct RAM amount for BCM958625HR board") but it seems like we tripped over some poorly documented schematics. The top-level page of the schematics says the board has 2GB, but when you end-up scrolling to page 6, you see two chips of 4GBit (512MB) but what the bootloader really initializes only 512MB, any attempt to use more than that results in data aborts. 2018-04-13ARM: dts: armadillo800eva: Split LCD mux and gpioGeert Uytterhoeven
[ Upstream commit 13132b3f44d3600983aceb7e9920b8ebb55a7cf8 ] Configuration of the lcd0 pinmux group and GPIO hog for the external GPIO mux are done using a single device node, causing the "output-high" property to be applied to both. This will fail for the pinmux group, but doesn't cause any harm, as the failure is ignored silently. However, after "pinctrl: sh-pfc: propagate errors on group config", the failure will become fatal, leading to a broken display: sh-pfc e6050000.pin-controller: pin_config_group_set op failed for group 102 sh-pfc e6050000.pin-controller: Error applying setting, reverse things back sh-pfc e6050000.pin-controller: failed to select default state Move the GPIO hog to its own node to fix this. 2018-04-13ARM: dts: imx53-qsrb: Pulldown PMIC IRQ pinFabio Estevam
[ Upstream commit 2fe4bff3516924a37e083e3211364abe59db1161 ] Currently the following errors are seen: [ 14.015056] mc13xxx 0-0008: Failed to read IRQ status: -6 [ 27.321093] mc13xxx 0-0008: Failed to read IRQ status: -6 [ 27.411681] mc13xxx 0-0008: Failed to read IRQ status: -6 [ 27.456281] mc13xxx 0-0008: Failed to read IRQ status: -6 [ 30.527106] mc13xxx 0-0008: Failed to read IRQ status: -6 [ 36.596900] mc13xxx 0-0008: Failed to read IRQ status: -6 Also when reading the interrupts via 'cat /proc/interrupts' the PMIC GPIO interrupt counter does not stop increasing. The reason for the storm of interrupts is that the PUS field of register IOMUXC_SW_PAD_CTL_PAD_CSI0_DAT5 is currently configured as: 10 : 100k pullup and the PMIC interrupt is being registered as IRQ_TYPE_LEVEL_HIGH type, which is the correct type as per the MC34708 datasheet. Use the default power on value for the IOMUX, which sets PUS field as: 00: 360k pull down This prevents the spurious PMIC interrupts from happening. Commit e1ffceb078c6 ("ARM: imx53: qsrb: fix PMIC interrupt level") correctly described the irq type as IRQ_TYPE_LEVEL_HIGH, but missed to update the IOMUX of the PMIC GPIO as pull down. [ Upstream commit c2a736b698008d296c5010ec39077eeb5796109f ] The moxart interrupt line flags were not respected in previous driver: instead of assigning them per-consumer, a fixes mask was set in the controller. With the migration to a standard Faraday driver we need to set up and handle the consumer flags correctly. Also remove the Moxart-specific flags when switching to using real consumer flags. Extend the register window to 0x100 bytes as we may have a few more registers in there and it doesn't hurt. 2018-02-25ARM: dts: Fix omap4 hang with GPS connected to USB by using wakeupgenTony Lindgren
[ Upstream commit cf87634c8b24e24bf379b8c6807c8b0fb5f23567 ] There's been a reproducable USB OHCI/EHCI cpuidle related hang on omap4 for a while that happens after about 20 - 40 minutes on an idle system with some data feeding device being connected, like a USB GPS device or a cellular modem. This issue happens in cpuidle states C2 and C3 and does not happen if cpuidle is limited to C1 state only. The symptoms are that the whole system hangs and never wakes up from idle, and if a watchdog is configured the system reboots after a while. Turns out that OHCI/EHCI devices on omap4 are trying to use the GIC interrupt controller directly as a parent instead of the WUGEN. We need to pass the interrupts through WUGEN to GIC to provide the wakeup events for the processor. Let's fix the issue by removing the gic interrupt-parent and use the default interrupt-parent wakeupgen instead. Note that omap5.dtsi had this already fixes earlier by commit 7136d457f365 ("ARM: omap: convert wakeupgen to stacked domains") but we somehow missed omap4 at that point. commit 586b2a4befad88cd87b372a1cea01e58c6811ea9 upstream. The EB MP board probably has a character LCD but the board manual does not really state which IRQ it has assigned to this device. The invalid assignment was a mistake by me during submission of the DTSI where I was looking for the reference, didn't find it and didn't fill it in.
