2014-05-28USB: remove CONFIG_USB_DEBUG from defconfig filesGreg Kroah-Hartman
Now that CONFIG_USB_DEBUG is gone, remove it from a number of defconfig files that were enabling it. Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-08-10ARM: s3c24xx: enable CONFIG_BUG for tct_hammerArnd Bergmann
Disabling CONFIG_BUG creates an insane amount of build warnings, which makes it useless to check for building defconfigs to see if new warnings show up. Without this patch, building tct_hammer_defconfig results in: net/packet/af_packet.c: In function 'tpacket_rcv': net/packet/af_packet.c:1889:30: warning: 'hdrlen' may be used uninitialized in this function [-Wuninitialized] net/core/ethtool.c: In function 'ethtool_get_feature_mask': net/core/ethtool.c:213:1: warning: control reaches end of non-void function [-Wreturn-type] block/cfq-iosched.c: In function 'cfq_async_queue_prio': block/cfq-iosched.c:2914:1: warning: control reaches end of non-void function [-Wreturn-type] mm/bootmem.c: In function 'mark_bootmem': mm/bootmem.c:352:1: warning: control reaches end of non-void function [-Wreturn-type] net/core/dev.c: In function 'skb_warn_bad_offload': net/core/dev.c:1904:33: warning: unused variable 'null_features' [-Wunused-variable] drivers/mtd/chips/cfi_probe.c: In function 'cfi_chip_setup': include/linux/mtd/cfi.h:489:3: warning: 'r.x[0]' may be used uninitialized in this function [-Wuninitialized] include/linux/mtd/map.h:394:11: note: 'r.x[0]' was declared here include/linux/mtd/cfi.h:489:3: warning: 'r.x[0]' may be used uninitialized in this function [-Wuninitialized] (and many more) The size of vmlinux increases by 1.78% because of this: size obj-arm/vmlinux.nobug text data bss dec hex filename 2108474 116916 55352 2280742 22cd26 obj-arm/vmlinux size obj-arm/vmlinux.bug text data bss dec hex filename 2150804 116916 53696 2321416 236c08 obj-arm/vmlinux Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Acked-by: Kukjin Kim <kgene.kim@samsung.com> Cc: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org>
2012-03-03ARM: S3C24XX: change the ARCH_S3C2410 to ARCH_S3C24XXKukjin Kim
This patch changes the ARCH name to "ARCH_S3C24XX" for Samsung S3C2410, S3C2412, S3C2413, S3C2416, S3C2440, S3C2442, S3C2443, and S3C2450 SoCs so that we can merge the mach-xxx directories and plat-s3c24xx dir. to just one mach-s3c24xx for them. I think this should be sent to upstream via samsung tree because this touches many samsung stuff. 2011-01-20kconfig: rename CONFIG_EMBEDDED to CONFIG_EXPERTDavid Rientjes
The meaning of CONFIG_EMBEDDED has long since been obsoleted; the option is used to configure any non-standard kernel with a much larger scope than only small devices. This patch renames the option to CONFIG_EXPERT in init/Kconfig and fixes references to the option throughout the kernel. A new CONFIG_EMBEDDED option is added that automatically selects CONFIG_EXPERT when enabled and can be used in the future to isolate options that should only be considered for embedded systems (RISC architectures, SLOB, etc). Calling the option "EXPERT" more accurately represents its intention: only expert users who understand the impact of the configuration changes they are making should enable it. 2009-12-18ARM: Kill CONFIG_CPU_32Russell King
26-bit ARM support was removed a long time ago, and this symbol has been defined to be 'y' ever since. As it's never disabled anymore, we can kill it without any side effects. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2009-06-23[ARM] S3C: Remove unused CONFIG_DEBUG_S3C_PORTBen Dooks
Remove the unused CONFIG_DEBUG_S3C_PORT as we currently only have support for using the S3C UARTs via the low-level debug code. Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org>
2008-05-12[ARM] dyntick: Remove obsolete and unused ARM dyntick supportRussell King
dyntick is superseded by the clocksource/clockevent infrastructure, using the NO_HZ configuration option. No one implements dyntick on ARM anymore, so it's pointless keeping it around. Remove dyntick support. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-04-17[ARM] 4963/1: S3C2410 - add basic machine support for the TCT HammerDavid Anders
Add the TinCanTools Hammer board to list of supported machines in the arch/arm/mach-s3c2410 directory, as well as a default config entry. the mach-tct_hammer.c file initializes basic i/o, clocks, irqs, as well as the mtd flash layout if enabled in the kernel configuration.
