2011-05-12ARM: use ARM_DMA_ZONE_SIZE to adjust the zone sizesRussell King
Rather than each platform providing its own function to adjust the zone sizes, use the new ARM_DMA_ZONE_SIZE definition to perform this adjustment. This ensures that the actual DMA zone size and the ISA_DMA_THRESHOLD/MAX_DMA_ADDRESS definitions are consistent with each other, and moves this complexity out of the platform code. The values of ISA_DMA_THRESHOLD and MAX_DMA_ADDRESS are related; one is the physical/bus address, the other is the virtual address. Both need to be kept in step, so rather than having platforms define both, allow them to define a single macro which sets both of these macros appropraitely. 2010-10-20arm: return both physical and virtual addresses from addruartJeremy Kerr
Rather than checking the MMU status in every instance of addruart, do it once in kernel/debug.S, and change the existing addruart macros to return both physical and virtual addresses. The main debug code can then select the appropriate address to use. This will also allow us to retreive the address of a uart for the MMU state that we're not current in. 2010-07-09ARM: 6204/1: Fixups for the RealView PB1176Linus Walleij
This is a number of basic fixes to the PB1176 that makes it tick properly: - Detect MMC insertion/removal even when PL061 GPIO is not compiled in. The register to read this status directly is removed on the PB1176. - Define the UART3 on the DevChip (where is actually is) and define the new UART4 serial port on the FPGA. - Also define the clocks for these two UARTs apropriately. - Remove the false notion that the PB1176 should have its CLCD on the ISSP, this is not the case, it is in the DevChip. - Remove the defintions and the previously commented-out PL081 DMAC. As confirmed by mail this was found to be broken on the PB1176 board and removed from the subsequent FPGA images. RealView boards with certain revisions of the L220 cache controller (ARM11* processors only) may have issues (hardware deadlock) with the recent changes to the mb() barrier implementation (DSB followed by an L2 cache sync). The patch redefines the RealView ARM11MPCore mandatory barriers without the outer_sync() call. 2009-11-05RealView: Add sparsemem support for the RealView PBX platformCatalin Marinas
The RealView PBX board has two 512MB blocks of memory - one at 0x70000000 (with 256MB mirror at 0) and another at 0x20000000. Only the block at 0x70000000 (or the mirror at 0) may be used for DMA (e.g. framebuffer). 2009-03-19[ARM] pass reboot command line to arch_reset()Russell King
OMAP wishes to pass state to the boot loader upon reboot in order to instruct it whether to wait for USB-based reflashing or not. There is already a facility to do this via the reboot() syscall, except we ignore the string passed to machine_restart(). This patch fixes things to pass this string to arch_reset(). This means that we keep the reboot mode limited to telling the kernel _how_ to perform the reboot which should be independent of what we request the boot loader to do. 2008-12-01RealView: Allow PHYS_OFFSET at 0x70000000Catalin Marinas
RealView boards like PB11MPCore have 512MB of RAM available contiguously at 0x70000000. Half of the memory is mirrored at 0x00000000 for backwards compatibility. This patch adds the CONFIG_REALVIEW_HIGH_PHYS_OFFSET option option to change the physical base address so that the full amount of RAM is available to Linux. 2008-11-29[ARM] Hide ISA DMA API when ISA_DMA_API is unsetRussell King
When ISA_DMA_API is unset, we're not implementing the ISA DMA API, so there's no point in publishing the prototypes via asm/dma.h, nor including the machine dependent parts of that API. This allows us to remove a lot of mach/dma.h files which don't contain any useful code. Unfortunately though, some platforms put their own private non-ISA definitions into mach/dma.h, so we leave these behind and fix the appropriate #include statments.
