2012-01-19ENGR00172374-1 i.mx: CPUFREQ: not use cpufreq_debug_printkJason Liu
fix the building errors when upgrade to v3.0 commit: d06d8c [CPUFREQ] use dynamic debug instead of custom infrastructure has removed cpufreq_debug_printk, we will give one update for i.mx driver Signed-off-by: Jason Liu <r64343@freescale.com>
2012-01-09ENGR00170141: Fix debug messages generated by CPUFREQRanjani Vaidyanathan
When dvfs-core is enabled along with "debug" in command line, CPUFREQ printed too many debug messages. Fix this by changing the threshold settings for DVFS-CORE and make the transitions more conservative and infrequent. Also use the CPUFREQ debug flag. 2012-01-09ENGR00163052: CPUFREQ does not report correct frequencyRanjani Vaidyanathan
When DVFS_CORE is enabled, the following command reports incorrect frequency: cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq Fix this by ensuring the CPUFREQ does not change the frequency when DVFS_CORE is active. And DVFS-CORE informs CPUFREQ of the change done to CPU frequency. Signed-off-by: Ranjani Vaidyanathan <ra5478@freescale.com>
2012-01-09ENGR00155981: MX6: Fix crash caused by cpufreq during suspend/resumeRanjani Vaidyanathan
Random crashes occur in CPUFREQ code when resuming from suspend. The root cause is due to freeing and allocating of common data structure (frequency table) shared among all the CPUs. Fix the code by ensuring that the common data structure is only created and deleted once. Signed-off-by: Ranjani Vaidyanathan <ra5478@freescale.com>
2012-01-09ENGR00155715: MX6: Fix warnings is clock and cpufreq code.Ranjani Vaidyanathan
Fixed warnings in clocks and cpufreq code. Signed-off-by: Ranjani Vaidyanathan <ra5478@freescale.com>
2012-01-09ENGR00139280: MX6: Add CPUFREQ supportRanjani Vaidyanathan
Add support for CPUFREQ for SMP system. Added support for 1GHz, 800MHz, 400MHz and 160MHz. Added support for scaling the voltage along with frequency. Signed-off-by: Ranjani Vaidyanathan <ra5478@freescale.com>
2012-01-09ENGR00154748: MX5x: Add CPUFREQ and DVFS support to 2.6.38Ranjani Vaidyanathan
Enable CPUFREQ on 2.6.38 Remove the dependency between CPUFREQ and bus_freq driver. Allow for CPUFREQ and DVFS-CORE to co-exist. Signed-off-by: Ranjani Vaidyanathan <ra5478@freescale.com>

2011-04-26treewide: cleanup continuations and remove logging message whitespaceJoe Perches
Using C line continuation inside format strings is error prone. Clean up the unintended whitespace introduced by misuse of \. Neaten correctly used line continations as well for consistency. drivers/scsi/arcmsr/arcmsr_hba.c has these errors as well, but arcmsr needs a lot more work and the driver should likely be moved to staging instead. 2010-12-14Fix imx cpufreq driver as moduleArnaud Patard (Rtp)
When building as module: ERROR: "cpufreq_gov_performance" [arch/arm/plat-mxc/cpufreq.ko] undefined! WARNING: modpost: Found 1 section mismatch(es). To see full details build your kernel with: 'make CONFIG_DEBUG_SECTION_MISMATCH=y' make[1]: *** [__modpost] Error 1 make: *** [modules] Error 2 It's due to the driver using CPUFREQ_DEFAULT_GOVERNOR, even it should not (see commit 8122c6cea033e8034e99d3b10a4e3f377ce23994 in Linus tree), so remove it.
