2012-10-15ARM: imx: merge plat-mxc into mach-imxShawn Guo
It's really unnecessary to have plat-mxc, and let's merge it into mach-imx. It's pretty much just a bunch of file renaming and Kconfig/Makefile merge. To make the change less invasive, we keep using Kconfig symbol CONFIG_ARCH_MXC for mach-imx sub-architecture. 2012-07-01ARM: imx: enable SPARSE_IRQ for imx platformShawn Guo
As all irqchips on imx have been changed to allocate their irq_descs, and all unneeded mach/irqs.h inclusions on imx have been cleaned up, now it's time to select SPARSE_IRQ for imx/mxc. The SPARSE_IRQ support forces irqs allocation starting from 16. All those static irq number definition for SoCs need to shift 16 to keep non-DT boot works. With all those static IRQ number and start definitions removed from mach/irqs.h, the header becomes just a container of a couple of mach-imx specific irq/fiq calls. Since mach/irqs.h is not included by asm/irq.h now, the users of mxc_set_irq_fiq needs to explicitly include mach/irqs.h themselves. Define deprecated symbols in an #ifdef IMX_NEEDS_DEPRECATED_SYMBOLS ... All files that still depend on the old definitions get -DIMX_NEEDS_DEPRECATED_SYMBOLS passed to the compiler. When all remaining users are fixed this allows including the soc specific headers unconditionally. 2009-11-23ARM: MX3: fix CPU revision number detectionDaniel Mack
The macro mx31_revision() used to take the global variable system_rev to determine the CPU revision number. However, this number is expected to be set by the bootloader and is usually zero (at least on my MX31 based boards here). More than that, it is usually taken to identify the board's revision, not the CPU's. Fix that by reading the the CPU's SREV register instead. Right now, mx31_read_cpu_rev() is called from mx31_clocks_init() which is admittedly not a good place for it. However, we need to enable the IIM clock first, and the clock code also has conditional code that depends on mx31_revision() returning the right thing. 2009-05-18i.MX31: Add support for the CPLD on PDK Debug board.Magnus Lilja
The i.MX31 PDK consists of several boards, one of them is a debug board containing a CPLD which controls some debug leds, switch buttons, an interrupt chip and an Ethernet controller. This patch adds support for detecting if the PDK board is present (during boot) and adds the interrupt chip to the kernel.
