2011-06-14serial: sh-sci: Abstract register maps.Paul Mundt
This takes a bit of a sledgehammer to the horribly CPU subtype ifdef-ridden header and abstracts all of the different register layouts in to distinct types which in turn can be overriden on a per-port basis, or permitted to default to the map matching the port type at probe time. In the process this ultimately fixes up inumerable bugs with mismatches on various CPU types (particularly the legacy ones that were obviously broken years ago and no one noticed) and provides a more tightly coupled and consolidated platform for extending and implementing generic features. 2010-04-15sh: intc: IRQ auto-distribution support.Paul Mundt
This implements support for hardware-managed IRQ balancing as implemented by SH-X3 cores (presently only hooked up for SH7786, but can probably be carried over to other SH-X3 cores, too). CPUs need to specify their distribution register along with the mask definitions, as these follow the same format. Peripheral IRQs that don't opt out of balancing will be automatically distributed at the whim of the hardware block, while each CPU needs to verify whether it is handling the IRQ or not, especially before clearing the mask. This adds support for hardware-assisted userspace irq masking for special priority levels. Due to the SR.IMASK interactivity, only some platforms implement this in hardware (including but not limited to SH-4A interrupt controllers, and ARM-based SH-Mobile CPUs). The old ctrl in/out routines are non-portable and unsuitable for cross-platform use. While drivers/sh has already been sanitized, there is still quite a lot of code that is not. This converts the arch/sh/ bits over, which permits us to flag the routines as deprecated whilst still building with -Werror for the architecture code, and to ensure that future users are not added. 2009-08-13sh: convert processor device setup functions to arch_initcall()Magnus Damm
Convert the processor platform device setup functions from __initcall() and sometimes device_initcall() to arch_initcall(). This makes sure that the platform devices are registered a bit earlier so the devices are available when drivers register using initcall levels earlier than device_initcall(). A good example is platform devices needed by i2c-sh_mobile.c which registers a bit earlier using subsys_initcall().
