2014-11-07i2c: remove FSF addressWolfram Sang
We have a central copy of the GPL for that. Some addresses were already outdated. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa+renesas@sang-engineering.com>
2014-03-13i2c: remove DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE macroJingoo Han
Don't use DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE macro, because this macro is not preferred. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2014-01-24i2c: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>Paul Gortmaker
None of these files are actually using any __init type directives and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to code getting copied from one driver to the next. 2012-12-22i2c: remove __dev* attributes from subsystemBill Pemberton
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As result the __dev* markings will be going away. Remove use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit. 2012-07-24i2c/busses: Use module_pci_driverAxel Lin
Convert the drivers in drivers/i2c/busses/* to usemodule_pci_driver() macro which makes the code smaller and a bit simpler. 2012-01-12i2c: Convert to DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLEAxel Lin
Convert static struct pci_device_id *[] to static DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE tables. Use DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE ensures we make the pci_device_id table const and marked as __devinitconst. This also fixes some warnings from checkpatch: e.g. WARNING: Use DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE for struct pci_device_id #1096: FILE: i2c/busses/i2c-intel-mid.c:1096: +static struct pci_device_id intel_mid_i2c_ids[] = { Signed-off-by: Axel Lin <axel.lin@gmail.com> Cc: Rudolf Marek <r.marek@assembler.cz> Cc: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org> Acked-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net> Cc: "Mark M. 2010-05-21i2c: Use <linux/io.h> instead of <asm/io.h>H Hartley Sweeten
As warned by checkpatch.pl, <linux/io.h> should be used instead of <asm/io.h>. Signed-off-by: H Hartley Sweeten <hsweeten@visionengravers.com> Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org>
2010-03-02i2c: Make PCI device ids constantMárton Németh
The id_table field of the struct pci_driver is constant in <linux/pci.h> so it is worth to make initialization data also constant. The semantic match that finds this kind of pattern is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @r@ disable decl_init,const_decl_init; identifier I1, I2, x; @@ struct I1 { ... const struct I2 *x; ... }; @s@ identifier r.I1, y; identifier r.x, E; @@ struct I1 y = { .x = E, }; @c@ identifier r.I2; identifier s.E; @@ const struct I2 E[] = ... ; @depends on !c@ identifier r.I2; identifier s.E; @@ + const struct I2 E[] = ...; // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Márton Németh <nm127@freemail.hu> Cc: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org>

2008-10-22i2c: Use pci_ioremap_bar()Arjan van de Ven
Use the newly introduced pci_ioremap_bar() function in drivers/i2c. pci_ioremap_bar() just takes a pci device and a bar number, with the goal of making it really hard to get wrong, while also having a central place to stick sanity checks. 2007-10-19Convert files to UTF-8 and some cleanupsJan Engelhardt
* Convert files to UTF-8. * Also correct some people's names (one example is Eißfeldt, which was found in a source file. Given that the author used an ß at all in a source file indicates that the real name has in fact a 'ß' and not an 'ss', which is commonly used as a substitute for 'ß' when limited to 7bit.) * Correct town names (Goettingen -> Göttingen) * Update Eberhard Mönkeberg's address (http://lkml.org/lkml/2007/1/8/313) Signed-off-by: Jan Engelhardt <jengelh@gmx.de> Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@kernel.org>
2006-12-10i2c: Discard the i2c algo del_bus wrappersJean Delvare
They are all only calling i2c_del_adapter, so we may as well do it directly. Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org>
2006-09-26i2c-algo-bit: Discard the mdelay data struct memberJean Delvare
i2c-algo-bit: Discard the mdelay data struct member The i2c_algo_bit_data structure has an mdelay member, which is not used by the algorithm code (the code has always been ifdef'd out.) Let's discard it to save some code and memory. 2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2v2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
