2014-03-05ASoC: da9055: Fix device registration of PMIC and CODEC devicesAdam Thomson
commit 07b0e5b10258b48e5edfb6c8ac156f05510eb775 upstream. Currently the I2C device Ids conflict for the MFD and CODEC so cannot be both instantiated on one platform. This patch updates the Ids and names to make them unique from each other. It should be noted that the I2C addresses for both PMIC and CODEC are modifiable so instantiation of the two are kept as separate devices, rather than instantiating the CODEC from the MFD code. 2014-02-06mfd: max77686: Fix regmap resource leak on driver removeKrzysztof Kozlowski
commit 74142ffc0b52cfe6f9d2f6f34a5f3eedbfe3ce51 upstream. The regmap used by max77686 MFD driver was not freed with regmap_exit() on driver exit. This lead to leak of resources. Replace regmap_init_i2c() call in driver probe with initialization of managed register map so the regmap will be properly freed by the device management code. 2014-01-15mfd: rtsx_pcr: Disable interrupts before cancelling delayed worksThomas Gleixner
commit 73beb63d290f961c299526852884846b0d868840 upstream. This fixes a kernel panic when resuming from suspend to RAM. Without this fix an interrupt hits after the delayed work is canceled and thus requeues it. So we end up freeing an armed timer. 2013-12-04mfd: rtsx: Modify rts5249_optimize_phyWei WANG
commit 26b818511c6562ce372566c219a2ef1afea35fe6 upstream. In some platforms, specially Thinkpad series, rts5249 won't be initialized properly. So we need adjust some phy parameters to improve the compatibility issue. It is a little different between simulation and real chip. We have no idea about which configuration is better before tape-out. We set default settings according to simulation, but need to tune these parameters after getting the real chip. I can't explain every change in detail here. The below information is just a rough description: PHY_REG_REV: Disable internal clkreq_tx, enable rx_pwst PHY_BPCR: No change, just turn the magic number to macro definitions PHY_PCR: Change OOBS sensitivity, from 60mV to 90mV PHY_RCR2: Control charge-pump current automatically PHY_FLD4: Use TX cmu reference clock PHY_RDR: Change RXDSEL from 30nF to 1.9nF PHY_RCR1: Change the duration between adp_st and asserting cp_en from 0.32 us to 0.64us PHY_FLD3: Adjust internal timers PHY_TUNE: Fine tune the regulator12 output voltage Signed-off-by: Wei WANG <wei_wang@realsil.com.cn> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org> Cc: Chris Ball <cjb@laptop.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

2013-09-02mfd: ucb1x00-core: Rewrite ucb1x00_add_dev()Lee Jones
Error handling is on-its-head in this function. After invoking a function we should examine the return code and return the error value if there was one. Instead, this function checks for success and goes onto provide functionality if success was received. Not so bad in a simple function like this, but in a more complex one this could end up drowning in curly brackets. Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>

event name The AB8500 debugfs driver allocates memory to contain the name of a new sysfs entry, but fails to apply the proper post-allocation checks. If the device were to run out of memory, the allocation would return NULL. Without the correct checks the driver will continue to populate address NULL with the specified device name which would obviously cause a pointer dereference Oops. 1) Removed request_irq() and replaced it with request_threaded_irq(). 2) Removed generic_handle_irq() and replaced it with handle_nested_irq(). Handling of these interrupts is nested, as we are handling an interrupt (for e.g rtc, mmc1) when we are still servicing TWL irq. 3) Removed I2C read-retry logic for the case when twl_i2c_read() is failed inside IRQ handler - there is no sense to do that, so just report an error and return. 4) Each nested IRQ is configured with corresponding parent_irq, which need to be retriggered in case if nested IRQ is marked as IRQS_PENDING.
