commit 3d031abc7e7249573148871180c28ecedb5e27df upstream.
This corrects the lack of notification of a return to ERROR_ACTIVE
state for USB - CANFD devices from PEAK-System.

commit a0b96b4a62745397aee662670cfc2157bac03f55 upstream.
syzbot reported memory leak in peak_usb.
The problem was in case of failure after calling
->dev_init()[2] in peak_usb_create_dev()[1]. The data
allocated int dev_init() wasn't freed, so simple
->dev_free() call fix this problem.

[ Upstream commit 8a68cc0d690c9e5730d676b764c6f059343b842c ]
The left shift of int 32 bit integer constant 1 is evaluated using 32 bit
arithmetic and then assigned to a signed 64 bit variable. In the case where
time_ref->adapter->ts_used_bits is 32 or more this can lead to an oveflow.
Avoid this by shifting using the BIT_ULL macro instead.

Fabian Inostroza <fabianinostrozap@gmail.com> has discovered a potential
problem in the hardware timestamp reporting from the PCAN-USB USB CAN interface
(only), related to the fact that a timestamp of an event may precede the
timestamp used for synchronization when both records are part of the same USB
packet. However, this case was used to detect the wrapping of the time counter.
This patch details and fixes the two identified cases where this problem can
occur.

These values come from skb->data so Smatch considers them untrusted. I
believe Smatch is correct but I don't have a way to test this.
The usb_if->dev[] array has 2 elements but the index is in the 0-15
range without checks. The cfd->len can be up to 255 but the maximum
valid size is CANFD_MAX_DLEN (64) so that could lead to memory
corruption.

While the state changes are reported when the error counters increase

counters decrease again. So add those as well.
Change the state going downward to be ERROR_PASSIVE -> ERROR_WARNING ->

commit f7a1337f0d29b98733c8824e165fca3371d7d4fd upstream.
Fix a small slab info leak due to a failure to clear the command buffer
at allocation.
The first 16 bytes of the command buffer are always sent to the device
in pcan_usb_send_cmd() even though only the first two may have been
initialised in case no argument payload is provided (e.g. when waiting
for a response).

commit de280f403f2996679e2607384980703710576fed upstream.
When decoding a buffer received from PCAN-USB, the first timestamp read in
a packet is a 16-bit coded time base, and the next ones are an 8-bit
offset to this base, regardless of the type of packet read.
This patch corrects a potential loss of synchronization by using a
timestamp index read from the buffer, rather than an index of received
data packets, to determine on the sizeof the timestamp to be read from the
packet being decoded.

commit fee6a8923ae0d318a7f7950c6c6c28a96cea099b upstream.
When closing the CAN device while tx skbs are inflight, echo skb could

can_get_echo_skb() are called, for each aborted URB.

The CAN FD data bittiming constants are provided via netlink only when there
are valid CAN FD constants available in priv->data_bittiming_const.
Due to the indirection of pointer assignments in the peak_usb driver the
priv->data_bittiming_const never becomes NULL - not even for non-FD adapters.
The data_bittiming_const points to zero'ed data which leads to this result
when running 'ip -details link show can0':
35: can0: <NOARP,ECHO> mtu 16 qdisc noop state DOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 10
link/can promiscuity 0
can state STOPPED restart-ms 0
pcan_usb: tseg1 1..16 tseg2 1..8 sjw 1..4 brp 1..64 brp-inc 1
: dtseg1 0..0 dtseg2 0..0 dsjw 1..0 dbrp 0..0 dbrp-inc 0 <== BROKEN!

This patch changes the struct peak_usb_adapter::bittiming_const and struct
peak_usb_adapter::data_bittiming_const to pointers to fix the assignemnt
problems.

harmful as its a read access, except you turn on the proper debugging options

Conflicts:
drivers/net/usb/asix_common.c
drivers/net/usb/sr9800.c
drivers/net/usb/usbnet.c
include/linux/usb/usbnet.h
net/ipv4/tcp_ipv4.c
net/ipv6/tcp_ipv6.c
The TCP conflicts were overlapping changes. In 'net' we added a
READ_ONCE() to the socket cached RX route read, whilst in 'net-next'
Eric Dumazet touched the surrounding code dealing with how mini
sockets are handled.
With USB, it's a case of the same bug fix first going into net-next
and then I cherry picked it back into net.

My objective is to be able to totally discriminate CAN ports on multi-port
cards via udev so as to rename them to semantically interesting/unique names
for my system (e.g., "ecuCAN" and "auxCAN" instead of "can0" and "can1").
The following patch assigns the dev_id field to match the channel number on all
multi-channel devices. I can only test my two-port Peak PCI card, but it works
as expected: ATTRS{dev_id} now expresses the port number and my udev rules now
unambiguously pick out and rename my individual CAN ports.

This patch marks the bittiming_const pointer as in the struct can_pric as
"const". This allows us to mark the struct can_bittiming_const in the CAN
drivers as "const", too.

If either call to pcan_usb_pro_send_req() in
drivers/net/can/usb/peak_usb/pcan_usb_pro.c::pcan_usb_pro_init()
fails, we'll leak the memory we allocated to 'usb_if' with kzalloc()
when the 'usb_if' variable goes out of scope without having been
assigned to anything as we 'return err;'.
Fix this by adding appropriate kfree(usb_if) calls to the error paths.

That patch fixes some bad usage of two little-endian variables, which lead to
some warning/error when building the peak_usb driver.
