[ Upstream commit 002dfe8085255b7bf1e0758c3d195c5412d35be9 ]
The "priv->phy_mode" variable is an enum and in this context GCC will
treat it as unsigned to the error handling will never trigger.

Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt
Pre-modification code:
int hip04_mac_start_xmit(struct sk_buff *skb, struct net_device *ndev)
{
[...]
[1] priv->tx_head = TX_NEXT(tx_head);
[2] count++;
[3] netdev_sent_queue(ndev, skb->len);
[...]
}
An rx interrupt occurs if hip04_mac_start_xmit just executes to the line 2,
tx_head has been updated, but corresponding 'skb->len' has not been
added to dql_queue.
And then
hip04_mac_interrupt->__napi_schedule->hip04_rx_poll->hip04_tx_reclaim
In hip04_tx_reclaim, because tx_head has been updated,
bytes_compl will plus an additional "skb-> len"
which has not been added to dql_queue. And then
trigger the BUG_ON(bytes_compl > num_queued - dql->num_completed).
To solve the problem described above, we put
"netdev_sent_queue(ndev, skb->len);"
before
"priv->tx_head = TX_NEXT(tx_head);"

Currently "rmmod hip04_eth.ko" call free_irq more than once
as devres_release_all and hip04_remove both call free_irq.
This results in a 'Trying to free already-free IRQ' warning.
To solve the problem free_irq has been moved out of hip04_remove.

[ Upstream commit e56bd641ca61beb92b135298d5046905f920b734 ]
This is due to error in over budget processing.
When dealing with high throughput, the used buffers
that exceeds the budget is not cleaned up. In addition,
it takes a lot of cycles to clean up the used buffer,
and then the buffer where the valid data is located can take effect.

In function mdio_sc_cfg_reg_write(), variable "reg_value" could be
uninitialized if regmap_read() fails. However, "reg_value" is used
to decide the control flow later in the if statement, which is
potentially unsafe.

On the arm64 platform, executing "ifconfig eth0 up" will fail,
returning "ifconfig: SIOCSIFFLAGS: Input/output error."
ndev->dev is not initialized, dma_map_single->get_dma_ops->
dummy_dma_ops->__dummy_map_page will return DMA_ERROR_CODE
directly, so when we use dma_map_single, the first parameter
is to use the device of platform_device.

TX_DESC_NUM is 256, in tx_count, the maximum value of
mod(TX_DESC_NUM - 1) is 254, the variable "count" in
the hip04_mac_start_xmit function is never equal to
(TX_DESC_NUM - 1), so hip04_mac_start_xmit never
return NETDEV_TX_BUSY.
tx_count is modified to mod(TX_DESC_NUM) so that
the maximum value of tx_count can reach
(TX_DESC_NUM - 1), then hip04_mac_start_xmit can reurn
NETDEV_TX_BUSY.

hip04_rx_poll->hip04_tx_reclaim, reentrancy occurs

The tx ring buffer map when xmit and unmap when xmit done. So in
hnae_init_ring() did not map tx ring buffer, but in hnae_fini_ring()
have a unmap operation for tx ring buffer, which is already unmapped
when xmit done, than cause this WARNING.
The hnae_alloc_buffers() is called in hnae_init_ring(),
so the hnae_free_buffers() should be in hnae_fini_ring(), not in
hnae_free_desc().
In hnae_fini_ring(), adds a check is_rx_ring() as in hnae_init_ring().
When the ring buffer is tx ring, adds a piece of code to ensure that
the tx ring is unmap.

When the HNS driver loaded, always have an error print:
"netif_napi_add() called with weight 256"
This is because the kernel checks the NAPI polling weights
requested by drivers and it prints an error message if a driver
requests a weight bigger than 64.
So use NAPI_POLL_WEIGHT to fix it.

This patch is trying to fix the issue due to:
[27237.844750] BUG: KASAN: use-after-free in hns_nic_net_xmit_hw+0x708/0xa18[hns_enet_drv]
After hnae_queue_xmit() in hns_nic_net_xmit_hw(), can be
interrupted by interruptions, and than call hns_nic_tx_poll_one()
to handle the new packets, and free the skb. So, when turn back to
hns_nic_net_xmit_hw(), calling skb->len will cause use-after-free.

which caused tx timeout of net device. And then the net device
was reset to try to recover it. So that is not useful, and will

So need doubled ndev->watchdog_timeo if device watchdog occurred
until watchdog_timeo up to 40s and then try resetting to recover
it.
When collecting dfx information such as hardware registers when tx timeout.
Some registers for count were cleared when read. So need move this task

[ Upstream commit 308c6cafde0147616da45e3a928adae55c428deb ]
There are two test cases:
1. Remove the 4 modules:hns_enet_drv/hns_dsaf/hnae/hns_mdio,
and install them again, must use "ifconfig down/ifconfig up"
command pair to bring port to work.
This patch calls phy_stop function when init phy to fix this bug.
2. Remove the 2 modules:hns_enet_drv/hns_dsaf, and install them again,
all ports can not use anymore, because of the phy devices register
failed(phy devices already exists).
Phy devices are registered when hns_dsaf installed, this patch
removes them when hns_dsaf removed.
The two cases are sometimes related, fixing the second case also requires
fixing the first case, so fix them together.

skb->truesize is not meant to be tracking amount of used bytes in a skb,

For instance, if we use a single byte in last page fragment, we have to
account the full size of the fragment.

hns_get_sset_count() returns HNS_NET_STATS_CNT and the data space allocated
is not enough for ethtool_get_strings(), which will cause random memory
corruption.

the following can be observed without this patch:

This patch fixes the device being used to DMA map skb->data.
Erroneous device assignment causes the crash when SMMU is enabled.
This happens during TX since buffer gets DMA mapped with device
correspondign to net_device and gets unmapped using the device
related to DSAF.

commit b3f2d07f4649adcf6905953a10d217b5683e4077 upstream.
The use of ACCESS_ONCE() looks like a micro-optimization to force gcc to use
an indexed load for the register address, but it has an absolutely detrimental
effect on builds with gcc-5 and CONFIG_KASAN=y, leading to a very likely
kernel stack overflow aside from very complex object code:

This does not seem to happen any more with gcc-7, but removing the ACCESS_ONCE
seems safe anyway and it avoids a serious issue for some people. I have verified
that with gcc-5.3.1, the object code we get is better in the new version
both with and without CONFIG_KASAN, as we no longer allocate a 1344 byte
stack frame for hns_dsaf_get_regs() but otherwise have practically identical
object code.
With gcc-7.0.0, removing ACCESS_ONCE has no effect, the object code is already
good either way.
This patch is probably not urgent to get into 4.11 as only KASAN=y builds
with certain compilers are affected, but I still think it makes sense to
backport into older kernels.

Pull more rdma updates from Doug Ledford:
"This merge window was the first where Huawei had to try and coordinate
their patches between their net driver and their new roce driver
(similar to mlx4 and mlx5).
They didn't do horribly, but there were some issues (and we knew that
because they simply didn't know what to do in the beginning). As a
result, I had a set of patches that depended on some patches that
normally would have come to you via Dave's tree. Those patches have
been on netdev@ for a while, so I got Dave to give me his approval to
send them to you. As such, the other 29 patches I had behind them are
also now ready to go.
This catches the hns and hns-roce drivers up to current, and for
future patches we are working with them to get them up to speed on how
to do joint driver development so that they don't have these sorts of
cross tree dependency issues again. BTW, Dave gave me permission to
add his Acked-by: to the patches against the net tree, but I've had
this branch through 0day (but not linux-next since it was off by
itself) and I didn't want to rebase the series just to add Dave's ack
for the 8 patches in the net area.
Updates to the hns drivers:
- Small patch set for hns net driver that the roce patches depend on
- Various fixes to the hns-roce driver

When the dsaf mode receives a broadcast packet, it will filter
the packet by comparing the received queue number and destination
queue number(get from forwarding table), if they are the same,
the packet will be filtered. Otherwise, the packet will be loopback.
So this patch select queue 0 to send broadcast and multicast packets.

As the sub queue id in the broadcast forwarding table is always
set to absolute queue 0 rather than the interface's relative queue 0,
this will cause the received broadcast packets loopback to rcb.
This patch sets the sub queue id to relative queue 0 of each port.

After running command "ethtool -t eth0", eth0 can not be connected to
network. It is caused by the changing the inner loopback register and
this register cannot be changed when hns connected to network. The
routine of setting this register needs to be removed and using promisc
mode to let the packet looped back pass by dsaf mode.

Because we handle the received packets after napi, so delete the checking
before submitting. It delete the code of read the fbd number register,
which reduces the cpu usages while receiving packets
