2014-08-26netxen: Correct off-by-one errors in bounds checksDavid Gibson
commit 4710b2ba873692194c636811ceda398f95e02db2 upstream. netxen_process_lro() contains two bounds checks. One for the ring number against the number of rings, and one for the Rx buffer ID against the array of receive buffers. Both of these have off-by-one errors, using > instead of >=. The correct versions are used in netxen_process_rcv(), they're just wrong in netxen_process_lro(). Signed-off-by: David Gibson <david@gibson.dropbear.id.au> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net> Signed-off-by: Jiri Slaby <jslaby@suse.cz>
2014-06-23qlcnic: info leak in qlcnic_dcb_peer_app_info()Dan Carpenter
[ Upstream commit 7df566bbdd0af0785542b89466a937e94257fcfb ] This function is called from dcbnl_build_peer_app(). The "info" struct isn't initialized at all so we disclose 2 bytes of uninitialized stack data. We should clear it before passing it to the user. Conflicts: drivers/net/ethernet/stmicro/stmmac/stmmac_platform.c net/bridge/br_multicast.c net/ipv6/sit.c The conflicts were minor: 1) sit.c changes overlap with change to ip_tunnel_xmit() signature. 2) br_multicast.c had an overlap between computing max_delay using msecs_to_jiffies and turning MLDV2_MRC() into an inline function with a name using lowercase instead of uppercase letters. 3) stmmac had two overlapping changes, one which conditionally allocated and hooked up a dma_cfg based upon the presence of the pbl OF property, and another one handling store-and-forward DMA made. The latter of which should not go into the new of_find_property() basic block. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2013-09-05qlcnic: use standard NAPI weightsMichal Schmidt
Since commit 82dc3c63 ("net: introduce NAPI_POLL_WEIGHT") netif_napi_add() produces an error message if a NAPI poll weight greater than 64 is requested. qlcnic requests the weight as large as 256 for some of its rings, and smaller values for other rings. For instance in qlcnic_82xx_napi_add() I think the intention was to give the tx+rx ring a bigger weight than to rx-only rings, but it's actually doing the opposite. So I'm assuming the weights do not really matter much. Just use the standard NAPI weights for all rings. 2013-08-31qlcnic: Enhance PVID handling for 84xx adaptersManish Chopra
o PF driver should not indicate PVID configuration to VF driver. VF driver should be in no VLAN configuration mode. Signed-off-by: Manish Chopra <manish.chopra@qlogic.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2013-08-29drivers:net: Convert dma_alloc_coherent(...__GFP_ZERO) to dma_zalloc_coherentJoe Perches
__GFP_ZERO is an uncommon flag and perhaps is better not used. static inline dma_zalloc_coherent exists so convert the uses of dma_alloc_coherent with __GFP_ZERO to the more common kernel style with zalloc. Remove memset from the static inline dma_zalloc_coherent and add just one use of __GFP_ZERO instead. Trivially reduces the size of the existing uses of dma_zalloc_coherent. 2013-08-29qlcnic: underflow in qlcnic_validate_max_tx_rings()Dan Carpenter
This function checks the upper bound but it doesn't check for negative numbers: if (txq > QLCNIC_MAX_TX_RINGS) { I've solved this by making "txq" a u32 type.
