The #warning was present 10 years ago when the driver first got merged.
As the platform is rather obsolete by now, it seems very unlikely that
the warning will cause anyone to fix the code properly.
kernelci.org reports the warning for every build in the meantime, so
I think it's better to just turn it into a code comment to reduce
noise.

cpmac_start_xmit() used the max() macro on skb->len (an unsigned int)
and ETH_ZLEN (a signed int literal). This led to the following compiler
warning:

On top of this, it assigned the result of the max() macro to a signed
integer whilst all further uses of it result in it being cast to varying
widths of unsigned integer.
Fix this up by using max_t to ensure the comparison is performed as
unsigned integers, and for consistency change the type of the len
variable to unsigned int.

Many drivers initialize uselessly n_priv_flags, n_stats, testinfo_len,
eedump_len & regdump_len fields in their .get_drvinfo() ethtool op.
It's not necessary as these fields is filled in ethtool_get_drvinfo().

Currently CONFIG_ARCH_HAVE_CUSTOM_GPIO_H is defined for all MIPS
machines, and each machine type provides its own gpio.h. However
only a handful really implement the GPIO API, most just forward
everythings to gpiolib.
The Alchemy machine is notable as it provides a system to allow
implementing the GPIO API at the board level. But it is not used by
any board currently supported, so it can also be removed.
For most machine types we can just remove the custom gpio.h, as well
as the custom wrappers if some exists. Some of the code found in
the wrappers must be moved to the respective GPIO driver.
A few more fixes are need in some drivers as they rely on linux/gpio.h
to provides some machine specific definitions, or used asm/gpio.h
instead of linux/gpio.h for the gpio API.

This patch fix the debug message format. This patch changes to the
commit f160a2d0b524eeebd97a68e2fbb59fad4cdd3fee: net: cpmac: dynamic debug fixes
When we use pr_debug()/netdev_dbg() new lines are inserting in b/w
the values. The format when i use the printk()
These formats used in skb dump and reg dump. This functions
called from the entire code. So this will be enabled all the lines.

1. convert printk(KERN_DEBUG.. to netdev_dbg() if we have net_device object
or convert to dev_dbg() if we have device object.
2. convert printk(KERN_WARNING.. to netdev_warn() if we have net_device object
or convert to dev_warn() if we have device object

cpmac_config() refuses changing the base address parameter, and ignores
all other parameters, which means that it is pretty useless as it is, so
let's remove it.

None of these files are actually using any __init type directives
and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a
left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to
code getting copied from one driver to the next.
This covers everything under drivers/net except for wireless, which
has been submitted separately.

The flags argument of the phy_{attach,connect,connect_direct} functions
is then used to assign a struct phy_device dev_flags with its value.
All callers but the tg3 driver pass the flag 0, which results in the
underlying PHY drivers in drivers/net/phy/ not being able to actually
use any of the flags they would set in dev_flags. This patch gets rid of
the flags argument, and passes phydev->dev_flags to the internal PHY
library call phy_attach_direct() such that drivers which actually modify
a phy device dev_flags get the value preserved for use by the underlying
phy driver.

Use strlcpy where possible to ensure the string is \0 terminated.
Use always sizeof(string) instead of 32, ETHTOOL_BUSINFO_LEN
and custom defines.
Use snprintf instead of sprint.
Remove unnecessary inits of ->fw_version
Remove unnecessary inits of drvinfo struct.

CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As result the __dev*
markings will be going away.
Remove use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst,
and __devexit.

Commit d1733f07: cpmac: use an unique MDIO bus name changed the MDIO bus
name from "1" to "cpmac-1", this breaks the PHY connection logic because
the PHY name still uses the old bus names "0" and "1", fix that to
always use the mdio bus id instead.
