2017-05-20mac80211: pass block ack session timeout to to driverSara Sharon
commit 50ea05efaf3bed7dd34bcc2635a8b3f53bd0ccc1 upstream. Currently mac80211 does not inform the driver of the session block ack timeout when starting a rx aggregation session. Drivers that manage the reorder buffer need to know this parameter. Seeing that there are now too many arguments for the drv_ampdu_action() function, wrap them inside a structure. 2016-11-26iwlwifi: pcie: fix SPLC structure parsingLuca Coelho
commit e0d9727c111a5917a1184c71c1a8e6f78c7fc41d upstream. The SPLC data parsing is too restrictive and was not trying find the correct element for WiFi. This causes problems with some BIOSes where the SPLC method exists, but doesn't have a WiFi entry on the first element of the list. The domain type values are also incorrect according to the specification. Fix this by complying with the actual specification. Additionally, replace all occurrences of SPLX to SPLC, since SPLX is only a structure internal to the ACPI tables, and may not even exist. 2016-10-07iwlwifi: pcie: fix access to scratch bufferSara Sharon
commit d5d0689aefc59c6a5352ca25d7e6d47d03f543ce upstream. This fixes a pretty ancient bug that hasn't manifested itself until now. The scratchbuf for command queue is allocated only for 32 slots but is accessed with the queue write pointer - which can be up to 256. Since the scratch buf size was 16 and there are up to 256 TFDs we never passed a page boundary when accessing the scratch buffer, but when attempting to increase the size of the scratch buffer a panic was quick to follow when trying to access the address resulted in a page boundary. 2016-09-30include/linux/kernel.h: change abs() macro so it uses consistent return typeMichal Nazarewicz
commit 8f57e4d930d48217268315898212518d4d3e0773 upstream. Rewrite abs() so that its return type does not depend on the architecture and no unexpected type conversion happen inside of it. The only conversion is from unsigned to signed type. char is left as a return type but treated as a signed type regradless of it's actual signedness. With the old version, int arguments were promoted to long and depending on architecture a long argument might result in s64 or long return type (which may or may not be the same). This came after some back and forth with Nicolas. The current macro has different return type (for the same input type) depending on architecture which might be midly iritating. An alternative version would promote to int like so: #define abs(x) __abs_choose_expr(x, long long, \ __abs_choose_expr(x, long, \ __builtin_choose_expr( \ sizeof(x) <= sizeof(int), \ ({ int __x = (x); __x<0?-__x:__x; }), \ ((void)0)))) I have no preference but imagine Linus might. :] Nicolas argument against is that promoting to int causes iconsistent behaviour: int main(void) { unsigned short a = 0, b = 1, c = a - b; unsigned short d = abs(a - b); unsigned short e = abs(c); printf("%u %u\n", d, e); // prints: 1 65535 } Then again, no sane person expects consistent behaviour from C integer arithmetic. ;) Note: __builtin_types_compatible_p(unsigned char, char) is always false, and __builtin_types_compatible_p(signed char, char) is also always false. 2016-05-04iwlwifi: mvm: fix memory leak in pagingMatti Gottlieb
commit 7fdf9663261cc77a516396fec82cee8a8ea07e76 upstream. Currently paging download buffer is freed during the the unloading of the opmode which happens when the driver is unloaded. This causes a memory leak since the paging download buffer is allocated every time we enable the interface, so the download buffer can be allocated many times, but only be freed once. Free paging download buffer during disabling of the interface. 2016-03-16iwlwifi: mvm: inc pending frames counter also when txing non-staLiad Kaufman
commit fb896c44f88a75843a072cd6961b1615732f7811 upstream. Until this patch, when TXing non-sta the pending_frames counter wasn't increased, but it WAS decreased in iwl_mvm_rx_tx_cmd_single(), what makes it negative in certain conditions. This in turn caused much trouble when we need to remove the station since we won't be waiting forever until pending_frames gets 0. In certain cases, we were exhausting the station table even in BSS mode, because we had a lot of stale stations. Increase the counter also in iwl_mvm_tx_skb_non_sta() after a successful TX to avoid this outcome. 2016-03-03iwlwifi: mvm: don't allow sched scans without matches to be startedLuca Coelho
commit 5e56276e7555b34550d51459a801ff75eca8b907 upstream. The firmware can perform a scheduled scan with not matchsets passed, but it can't send notification that results were found. Since the userspace then cannot know when we got new results and the firmware wouldn't trigger a wake in case we are sleeping, it's better not to allow scans without matchsets. 2016-03-03iwlwifi: pcie: properly configure the debug buffer size for 8000Emmanuel Grumbach
commit 62d7476d958ce06d7a10b02bdb30006870286fe2 upstream. 8000 device family has a new debug engine that needs to be configured differently than 7000's. The debug engine's DMA works in chunks of memory and the size of the buffer really means the start of the last chunk. Since one chunk is 256-byte long, we should configure the device to write to buffer_size - 256. This fixes a situation were the device would write to memory it is not allowed to access. 2016-03-03iwlwifi: dvm: fix WoWLANEmmanuel Grumbach
commit a1cdb1c59c8c203de2731fc6910598ed19c97e41 upstream. My commit below introduced a mutex in the transport to prevent concurrent operations. To do so, it added a flag (is_down) to make sure the transport is in the right state. This uncoverred an bug that didn't cause any harm until now: iwldvm calls stop_device and then starts the firmware without calling start_hw in between. While this flow is fine from the device configuration point of view (register, etc...), it is now forbidden by the new is_down flag. This led to this error to appear: iwlwifi 0000:05:00.0: Can't start_fw since the HW hasn't been started and the suspend would fail. 2015-11-15iwlwifi: mvm: don't overwrite the key indices in D3 entryLuca Coelho
When entering D3, we need to use hardcoded key indices because the firmware requires that. To do so, we are overwriting the HW key index in the keyconf structure, which makes it impossible to reuse the indices that were used before entering D3. Additionally, we overwrite all the non-PTK keys with index 1, because the firmware only allows one non-PTK key to be set. This is bad, because when we resume, we may try to set more than one key with index 1, which will obviously fail. To fix this, allow the callers to set a pre-defined index to use in iwl_mvm_set_sta_key() instead of relying on the hw_key_idx value from the keyconf struct (which requires overwriting it). In normal cases, the caller can pass STA_KEY_IDX_INVALID, which will cause a new key offset to be chosen. During HW_RESTART, we pass the offset that is in use. And during D3 entry, we pass the hardcoded indices we need to use. Additionally, don't clear the fw_key_table in D3 entry, so that the flags are still set with the pre-D3 values when exiting D3. fixes=I3165c22362483f0152d9ec1d2a987fb5529727c1 Fixes: b546dcd6b742 ("iwlwifi: mvm: don't reset key index on HW restart") Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com>

2015-10-13cfg80211: Add multiple scan plans for scheduled scanAvraham Stern
Add the option to configure multiple 'scan plans' for scheduled scan. Each 'scan plan' defines the number of scan cycles and the interval between scans. The scan plans are executed in the order they were configured. The last scan plan will always run infinitely and thus defines only the interval between scans. The maximum number of scan plans supported by the device and the maximum number of iterations in a single scan plan are advertised to userspace so it can configure the scan plans appropriately. When scheduled scan results are received there is no way to know which scan plan is being currently executed, so there is no way to know when the next scan iteration will start. This is not a problem, however. The scan start timestamp is only used for flushing old scan results, and there is no difference between flushing all results received until the end of the previous iteration or the start of the current one, since no results will be received in between. 2015-10-05iwlwifi: mvm: add minimal multi-RXQ infrastructureJohannes Berg
Since the new multi-queue capability depends on a new firmware API, we can already add some code for it. If the new API is present, a new opmode ops struct is used that handles the new rx_rss method. For now, only restructure the RX handling to distinguish between the two. Future patches will convert the new infrastructure to actually use the new RX descriptor layout. 2015-10-05iwlwifi: size firmware flags memory correctlyJohannes Berg
Instead of relying on a hard-coded constant of a maximum of 64 API and capability bits, add a new enum value after the others that will then always track the number of used bits in the API/capabilities. We thus no longer need to maintain the maximum number, and on 32-bit platforms even (currently) reduce the number of bits kept in memory. 2015-10-05iwlwifi: mvm: make threshold temperatures unsignedJohannes Berg
There's no need to have negative threshold temperatures, so make them unsigned to avoid signedness warnings in debugfs. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>

Using an int* instead of u32* as the kstrtou32() output argument obviously results in signedness warnings, change that. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
