2010-03-03Regulators: lp3971 - fail if platform data was not suppliedDmitry Torokhov
There is no point in completing probe if platform data is missing so let's abort loading early. Also, use kcalloc when allocating several instances of the same data structure and mark setup_regulators() as __devinit since it is only called from lp3971_i2c_probe() which is __devinit. 2010-03-03regulator/lp3971: Storage class should be before const qualifierTobias Klauser
The C99 specification states in section 6.11.5: The placement of a storage-class specifier other than at the beginning of the declaration specifiers in a declaration is an obsolescent feature. 2010-02-12regulator/lp3971: vol_map out of bounds in lp3971_{ldo,dcdc}_set_voltage()Roel Kluin
After `for (val = LDO_VOL_MIN_IDX; val <= LDO_VOL_MAX_IDX; val++)', if no break occurs, val reaches LDO_VOL_MIN_IDX + 1, which is out of bounds for ldo45_voltage_map[] and ldo123_voltage_map[]. Similarly BUCK_TARGET_VOL_MAX_IDX + 1 is out of bounds for buck_voltage_map[]. 2009-12-17drivers/regulator: use PTR_ERR to get error codeJulia Lawall
IS_ERR returns only 1 or 0. The callsite of setup_regulators expects a negative integer in an error case. Thus, PTR_ERR has to be used to extract it. The semantic match that finds this problem is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @@ expression E,E1; @@ *E = IS_ERR(...) ... when != E = E1 *return E; // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Acked-by: <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com> Signed-off-by: Liam Girdwood <lrg@slimlogic.co.uk>

2009-06-15LP3971 PMIC regulator driver (updated and combined version)Marek Szyprowski
This patch adds regulator drivers for National Semiconductors LP3971 PMIC. This LP3971 PMIC controller has 3 DC/DC voltage converters and 5 low drop-out (LDO) regulators. LP3971 PMIC controller uses I2C interface.
