2014-11-03usb: ehci/ohci-platform: use SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS to support hibernationWonhong Kwon
ehci/ohci-platform just define .suspend/.resume functions for dev_pm_ops, but in order to support both STR(suspend-to-ram) and hibernation, other callbacks such as .freeze/.thaw are also required. Registering all required callbacks for both STR and hibernation can be done by SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS macro function. 2014-11-03USB: OHCI: Eliminate platform-specific test in ohci.hKevin Cernekee
The bcm63xx and bcm3384 platforms need to set OHCI_QUIRK_FRAME_NO, but they are non-PPC platforms and don't enable CONFIG_PPC_MPC52xx. Therefore this patch changes the code that uses OHCI_QUIRK_FRAME_NO, making it not depend on CONFIG_PPC_MPC52xx. 2014-11-03usb: ehci: add ehci_port_power interfaceMichael Grzeschik
The current EHCI implementation is prepared to toggle the PORT_POWER bit to enable or disable a USB-Port. In some cases this port power can not be just toggled by the PORT_POWER bit, and the gpio-regulator is needed to be toggled too. This patch defines a port power control interface ehci_port_power for ehci core use, it toggles PORT_POWER bit as well as calls platform defined .port_power if it is defined. 2014-11-03uas: Make uas work with blk-mqHans de Goede
With uas over usb-3 the tags inside the uas iu-s must match the usb-3 stream ids, and those go from 1 - qdepth. Before blk-mq calling scsi_activate_tcq(sdev, qdepth) guaranteed that we would only get cmnd->request->tag from 0 - (qdepth - 1), and we used those as uas-tags / stream-ids. With blk-mq however we are guaranteed to never get more then qdepth commands queued at the same time, but the cmnd->request->tag values may be much larger, which breaks uas. This commit fixes this by generating uas tags in the 1 - qdepth range ourselves instead of using cmnd->request->tag. While touching all involved code anyways also rename the uas_cmd_info stream field to uas_tag, because when using uas over usb-2 streams are not used. 2014-11-03usb: Do not re-read descriptors for wired devices in usb_authorize_device()Josef Gajdusek
This patch modifies the usb_authorize_device() function such as that it does not reload the device descriptor for wired devices. The reasons for this are as follows: * Some devices dislike the master requesting the descriptor from them twice, failing on the usb_get_device_descriptor() call with -ETIMEOUT. Observed this on my Pretec 16GB flash drive (4146:ba65). * Malicious device could send two different descriptors - one before authorization, used by userspace to determine whether to authorize it and second to be actually used by the kernel when determining which drivers to bind. On enabling CONFIG_OF_SELFTEST which enables CONFIG_OF_DYNAMIC, we found out that while getting PHYs for the controller we were doing an extra of_node_put on the child node in our routines - exynos_e/ohci_get_phy(). This child is however already put by of_get_next_available_child() which does a of_node_put() on the "prev" node. So there's no point in putting the same node again in our routine. Pull sparc update from David Miller: "Two changes: 1) It makes no sense to execute a VTOC partition table request in the Sun virtual block device driver and fail to load if it doesn't succeed because a) we don't use the result at all and b) it won't succeed if there is an EFI partition on the disk, for example. We read the partition table via the normal means in the block layer anyways, so this is really completely useless, so just remove it. 2014-10-31drivers: net: cpsw: Support ALLMULTI and fix IFF_PROMISC in switch modeLennart Sorensen
The cpsw driver did not support the IFF_ALLMULTI flag which makes dynamic multicast routing not work. Related to this, when enabling IFF_PROMISC in switch mode, all registered multicast addresses are flushed, resulting in only broadcast and unicast traffic being received. A new cpsw_ale_set_allmulti function now scans through the ALE entry table and adds/removes the host port from the unregistered multicast port mask of each vlan entry depending on the state of IFF_ALLMULTI. In promiscious mode, cpsw_ale_set_allmulti is used to force reception of all multicast traffic in addition to the unicast and broadcast traffic. With this change dynamic multicast and promiscious mode both work in switch mode. Signed-off-by: Len Sorensen <lsorense@csclub.uwaterloo.ca> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2014-10-31drivers: net: cpsw: Fix broken loop condition in switch modeLennart Sorensen
0d961b3b52f566f823070ce2366511a7f64b928c (drivers: net: cpsw: fix buggy loop condition) accidentally fixed a loop comparison in too many places while fixing a real bug. It was correct to fix the dual_emac mode section since there 'i' is used as an index into priv->slaves which is a 0 based array. However the other two changes (which are only used in switch mode) are wrong since there 'i' is actually the ALE port number, and port 0 is the host port, while port 1 and up are the slave ports. Putting the loop condition back in the switch mode section fixes it. A comment has been added to point out the intent clearly to avoid future confusion. Also a comment is fixed that said the opposite of what was actually happening. Signed-off-by: Len Sorensen <lsorense@csclub.uwaterloo.ca> Acked-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de> Signed-off-by: David S. 2014-10-31stmmac: pci: set default of the filter binsAndy Shevchenko
The commit 3b57de958e2a brought the support for a different amount of the filter bins, but didn't update the PCI driver accordingly. This patch appends the default values when the device is enumerated via PCI bus. 2014-10-31net: smc91x: Fix gpios for device tree based bootingTony Lindgren
With legacy booting, the platform init code was taking care of the configuring of GPIOs. With device tree based booting, things may or may not work depending what bootloader has configured or if the legacy platform code gets called. Let's add support for the pwrdn and reset GPIOs to the smc91x driver to fix the issues of smc91x not working properly when booted in device tree mode. And let's change n900 to use these settings as some versions of the bootloader do not configure things properly causing errors.
