2017-09-14firmware: delete in-kernel firmwareGreg Kroah-Hartman
The last firmware change for the in-kernel firmware source code was back in 2013. Everyone has been relying on the out-of-tree linux-firmware package for a long long time. So let's drop it, it's baggage we don't need to keep dragging around (and having to fix random kbuild issues over time...) 2015-05-07firmware: Update information in linux.git about adding firmwareBen Hutchings
Kyle McMartin joined the linux-firmware maintainers, and we now have an alias <linux-firmware@kernel.org> which reaches all of us. Include that instead of the individual addresses. Add some further recommendations that were already included in the README in linux-firmware.git added by Xose Vazquez Perez <xose.vazquez@gmail.com>.
