2010-01-14proc_fops: convert drivers/isdn/ to seq_fileAlexey Dobriyan
Convert code away from ->read_proc/->write_proc interfaces. Switch to proc_create()/proc_create_data() which make addition of proc entries reliable wrt NULL ->proc_fops, NULL ->data and so on. Problem with ->read_proc et al is described here commit 786d7e1612f0b0adb6046f19b906609e4fe8b1ba "Fix rmmod/read/write races in /proc entries" [akpm@linux-foundation.org: CONFIG_PROC_FS=n build fix] Signed-off-by: Alexey Dobriyan <adobriyan@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Tilman Schmidt <tilman@imap.cc> Signed-off-by: Karsten Keil <keil@b1-systems.de> Signed-off-by: David S. 2009-06-08isdn: rename capi_ctr_reseted() to capi_ctr_down()Tilman Schmidt
Change the name of the Kernel CAPI exported function capi_ctr_reseted() to something representing its purpose better. Impact: renaming, no functional change Signed-off-by: Tilman Schmidt <tilman@imap.cc> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-11-30Bluetooth: Enable per-module dynamic debug messagesMarcel Holtmann
With the introduction of CONFIG_DYNAMIC_PRINTK_DEBUG it is possible to allow debugging without having to recompile the kernel. This patch turns all BT_DBG() calls into pr_debug() to support dynamic debug messages. As a side effect all CONFIG_BT_*_DEBUG statements are now removed and some broken debug entries have been fixed. 2007-01-09[Bluetooth] Add packet size checks for CAPI messagesMarcel Holtmann
With malformed packets it might be possible to overwrite internal CMTP and CAPI data structures. This patch adds additional length checks to prevent these kinds of remote attacks. Signed-off-by: Marcel Holtmann <marcel@holtmann.org>

2005-04-25[PATCH] kill gratitious includes of major.h under net/*Al Viro
A lot of places in there are including major.h for no reason whatsoever. Removed. And yes, it still builds. The history of that stuff is often amusing. E.g. for net/core/sock.c the story looks so, as far as I've been able to reconstruct it: we used to need major.h in net/socket.c circa 1.1.early. In 1.1.13 that need had disappeared, along with register_chrdev(SOCKET_MAJOR, "socket", &net_fops) in sock_init(). Include had not. When 1.2 -> 1.3 reorg of net/* had moved a lot of stuff from net/socket.c to net/core/sock.c, this crap had followed... Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
