From f98020c22ad9be07d6feefd0496e70f9f36a2f63 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Bart Van Assche Date: Mon, 16 Mar 2026 10:47:42 -0700 Subject: powerpc/powermac: Remove pmac_low_i2c_{lock,unlock}() Commit a28d3af2a26c ("[PATCH] 2/5 powerpc: Rework PowerMac i2c part 2") removed the last calls to the pmac_low_i2c_{lock,unlock}() functions. Hence, remove these two functions. This means the persistent ring buffer, which relies on a coherent state of memory, may not have its events written to the buffer and they may be lost. Moreover, there may be inconsistency with the counters which are used for validation of the integrity of the persistent ring buffer which may cause all data to be discarded. To avoid this issue, stop recording of the ring buffer on panic and flush the cache of the ring buffer's memory.
