From bdb2c48e4b38e6dbe82533b437468999ba3ae498 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Pavel Begunkov Date: Thu, 7 Jul 2022 15:00:38 +0100 Subject: io_uring: explicit sqe padding for ioctl commands 32 bit sqe->cmd_op is an union with 64 bit values. It's always a good idea to do padding explicitly. Also zero check it in prep, so it can be used in the future if needed without compatibility concerns. However, it will be needed for some dynptr types to pass in flags as well (e.g. when writing to a skb, the user may like to invalidate the hash or recompute the checksum). This patch adds a "u64 flags" arg to the bpf_dynptr_read() and bpf_dynptr_write() APIs before their UAPI signature freezes where we then cannot change them anymore with a 5.19.x released kernel.
