The 'tdx' override is not relevant for meta-toradex-demos. This layer is solely for building demos for the Toradex distribution, and all recipes within it are expected to be applied. If the user intends to build only the distribution, they should use meta-toradex-distro instead. Qt 5 has reached end-of-life and is being removed from Toradex Layers. The Toradex Reference Multimedia Image now features the Weston desktop by default with the weston-simple-egl client, replacing the previous Qt Cinematic Experience demo. When the APPLICATION_ENVIRONMENT is not set, the second "Environment" inside wayland-app-launch gets empty. As example: Environment=WAYLAND_DISPLAY=/run/wayland-0 Environment= This causes systemd to clear all the enviroment variables, unsetting the WAYLAND_DISPLAY previously set, which causes the some apps to no function anymore (e.g. weston-simple-egl). Therefore remove it and if anyone needs to add more environment variables, this should be done by bbappending the recipe and changing the systemd service file.
