OpenEmbedded/Yocto Software Layer for Toradex Demo Images ========================================================= This layer provides recipes used for demo images targeting ARM based Toradex computer on modules (COM) featuring Texas Instruments, NXP i.MX and Qualcomm Dragonwing SoCs. For more information on available Toradex COMs please visit: https://www.toradex.com/computer-on-modules Note that the master branch of the layers is where the development is happening. Do expect build breakage and do not expect us to give a solution. If you need a more stable base use one of the release branches. Dependencies ============ This layer always requires the upstream OpenEmbedded/Yocto layers listed below. In addition, when targeting a Toradex SoM, the relevant layers for that machine must be included as well (e.g. meta-toradex-nxp, meta-toradex-qcom meta-toradex-ti, meta-toradex-bsp-common, meta-freescale, meta-qcom, meta-ti). For oe-core machines (e.g. qemuarm64) no Toradex BSP layer is required. When creating a patch of the last commit, use git format-patch -s --subject-prefix='meta-toradex][][PATCH' -1 To send it to the community, use git send-email --to yocto-patches@toradex.com I. Building the meta-toradex-demos Layer ======================================== Using bitbake-setup ------------------- This layer can be used as a bitbake-setup registry for Toradex Reference Images. Get bitbake-setup (`git clone https://git.openembedded.org/bitbake`) and run: ./bitbake/bin/bitbake-setup --setting default registry \ 'git://git.toradex.com/meta-toradex-demos.git;protocol=https;branch=master;rev=master' \ init Change the branch and revision if you are instead interested in setting up a release, such as Wrynose. For the latest release, branch and rev are the same (e.g.: branch=wrynose, rev=wrynose). Specific releases can be set up by changing the revision to the release of interest. The master bitbake-setup configuration enables floating sources by default and is used for checking out current development branches with moving sources, it is not reproducible by default.
