2024-05-19Revert "Merge patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet""Tom Rini
When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master. This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35. 2024-03-04dm: core: Fix address translation in devfdt_get_addr_index()Jonas Karlman
During address translation #address/size-cells props are expected to apply to child nodes. However, devfdt_get_addr_index() incorrectly use the parent offset of the udevice parent instead of getting the offset of the node parent. This will work in most cases when there is only one udevice tied to a node. On e.g. an Orange Pi R1 Plus TLS board the dwc3-generic (parent) and dwc3-generic-host (child) udevice is tied to the same node. In that case both the offset and parent values end up being the same. As a result, the #address/size-cells props intended for child nodes incorrectly gets applied to the node itself resulting in wrong addr being returned, 0x0 instead of 0xff600000. The following can be seen on console: dwc3-generic-host usb@ff600000: this is not a DesignWare USB3 DRD Core dwc3-generic-host usb@ff600000: failed to initialize core Fix this by using the offset of the parent node and not the offset to the node the parent udevice is tied to. 2023-11-07serial: zynqmp: Fetch baudrate from dtb and updateAlgapally Santosh Sagar
The baudrate configured in .config is taken by default by serial. If change of baudrate is required then the .config needs to changed and u-boot recompilation is required or the u-boot environment needs to be updated. To avoid this, support is added to fetch the baudrate directly from the device tree file and update. The serial, prints the log with the configured baudrate in the dtb. The commit c4df0f6f315c ("arm: mvebu: Espressobin: Set default value for $fdtfile env variable") is taken as reference for changing the default environment variable. The default environment stores the default baudrate value, When default baudrate and dtb baudrate are not same glitches are seen on the serial. So, the environment also needs to be updated with the dtb baudrate to avoid the glitches on the serial. Also add test to cover this new function. 2023-10-17spl: Allow enabling SPL_OF_REAL and SPL_OF_PLATDATA at the same timeSean Anderson
Sandbox unit tests in U-Boot proper load a test device tree to have some devices to work with. In order to do the same in SPL, we must enable SPL_OF_REAL. However, we already have SPL_OF_PLATDATA enabled. When generating platdata from a devicetree, it is expected that we will not need devicetree access functions (even though SPL_OF_CONTROL is enabled). This expectation does not hold for sandbox, so allow user control of SPL_OF_REAL. There are several places in the tree where conditions involving OF_PLATDATA or OF_REAL no longer function correctly when both of these options can be selected at the same time. Adjust these conditions accordingly. Signed-off-by: Sean Anderson <seanga2@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

The behaviour of dev_read_addr_size() is surprising as it does not handle #address-cells and #size-cells but instead hardcodes the values based on sizeof(fdt_addr_t). This is different from dev_read_addr_size_index() and dev_read_addr_size_name() both of which do read the cell sizes from the device tree. Since dev_read_addr_size() is only used by a single driver and this driver is broken when CONFIG_FDT_64BIT does not match the address size in the device tree, fix the function to behave like all of the other similarly named functions. 2023-07-20dm: core: of_access: fix return value in of_property_match_stringEugen Hristev
of_property_match_string calls of_find_property to search for the string property. If the device node does not exist, of_find_property returns NULL, and of_property_match_string returns -EINVAL, which is correct. However, if the device node exists, but the property is not found, of_find_property still returns NULL, but it will place -FDT_ERR_NOTFOUND in the *lenp variable. of_property_match_string does not use the lenp parameter, thus this error case is being lost, and treated as if the node is NULL, and returns -EINVAL, which is incorrect. The callers of of_property_match_string treat the error differently if the return value is -EINVAL or -ENOENT, e.g. in dwc3 driver: ret = generic_phy_get_by_name(dev, "usb3-phy", &phy); if (!ret) { ret = generic_phy_init(&phy); if (ret) return ret; } else if (ret != -ENOENT && ret != -ENODATA) { debug("could not get phy (err %d)\n", ret); return ret; } else { phy.dev = NULL; } So the caller drivers will just consider the property missing if -ENOENT is returned, versus the case of -EINVAL, which means something else. To fix this situation, changed the code to call the of_find_property with the right third argument to catch this error code and treat it accordingly.
