2024-07-05sysreset: add Qualcomm PSHOLD reset driverRobert Marko
Number of Qualcomm ARMv7 SoC-s did not use PSCI but rather used PSHOLD (Qualcomm Power Supply Hold Reset) bit to trigger reset or poweroff. Qualcomm IPQ40XX is one of them, so provide a simple sysreset driver based on the upstream Linux one, it is DT compatible as well. 2024-02-28sysreset: Support reset via Renesas RAA215300 PMICPaul Barker
This patch adds support for resetting a board via the RAA215300 PMIC. Note that the RAA215300 documentation names the available reset types differently to u-boot: * A "warm" reset via the RAA215300 PMIC will fully reset the SoC (CPU & GPIOs), so this corresponds to SYSRESET_COLD. * A "cold" reset via the RAA215300 PMIC will cycle all power supply rails, so this corresponds to SYSRESET_POWER. 2023-10-17spl: Allow enabling SPL_OF_REAL and SPL_OF_PLATDATA at the same timeSean Anderson
Sandbox unit tests in U-Boot proper load a test device tree to have some devices to work with. In order to do the same in SPL, we must enable SPL_OF_REAL. However, we already have SPL_OF_PLATDATA enabled. When generating platdata from a devicetree, it is expected that we will not need devicetree access functions (even though SPL_OF_CONTROL is enabled). This expectation does not hold for sandbox, so allow user control of SPL_OF_REAL. There are several places in the tree where conditions involving OF_PLATDATA or OF_REAL no longer function correctly when both of these options can be selected at the same time. 2023-05-11x86: sysreset: Set up LPC only after relocationSimon Glass
Probing LPC can cause PCI enumeration to take place, which significantly increases pre-relocation memory usage. Also, LPC is somtimes enabled directly by SPL. Adjust the logic to probe the LPC only after relocation. This allows chromebook_link64 to start up without a much larger CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_F_LEN value. 2023-01-05reset: at91: Add reset driver for basic assert/deassert operationsSergiu Moga
Add support for at91 reset controller's basic assert/deassert operations. Since this driver conflicts with the SYSRESET driver because they both bind to the same RSTC node, implement a custom bind hook that would manually bind the sysreset driver, if enabled, to the same RSTC DT node. Furthermore, delete the no longer needed compatibles from the SYSRESET driver and rename it to make sure than any possible conflicts are avoided. 2022-10-17dm: treewide: Use uclass_first_device_err when accessing one deviceMichal Suchanek
There is a number of users that use uclass_first_device to access the first and (assumed) only device in uclass. Some check the return value of uclass_first_device and also that a device was returned which is exactly what uclass_first_device_err does. Some are not checking that a device was returned and can potentially crash if no device exists in the uclass. Finally there is one that returns NULL on error either way. Convert all of these to use uclass_first_device_err instead, the return value will be removed from uclass_first_device in a later patch. The watchdog system reset driver can reboot the device but it cannot power it off. If power off is requested, the driver should not reset the system but leave powering off to one of the other system reset drivers. As power cycling is typically not a feature of a watchdog driver the reset types SYSRESET_POWER and SYSRESET_POWER_OFF shall both be excluded. Currently, the wdt_reboot driver always gets its watchdog device reference from an OF node. This prevents selecting a watchdog at runtime. Move the watchdog device reference to the plat data, so the driver can be bound with the reference pre-provided. The reference will still be acquired from the OF node if it is not already provided.
