2025-02-11test: Keep track of suite durationSimon Glass
Show the time taken by each test suite with 'ut all' and the total time for all suites. Take care to remove any sandbox time-offset from the values. Fix the comment-format on timer_test_add_offset() while we are here. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2024-05-20Restore patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"Tom Rini
As part of bringing the master branch back in to next, we need to allow for all of these changes to exist here. Reported-by: Jonas Karlman <jonas@kwiboo.se> Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2024-05-19Revert "Merge patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet""Tom Rini
When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master. This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35. 2024-05-07timer: Remove <common.h> and add needed includesTom Rini
Remove <common.h> from this driver directory and when needed add missing include files directly. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2023-03-01sandbox: fix building with CONFIG_SPL_TIMER=yHeinrich Schuchardt
Building sandbox_defconfig with CONFIG_SPL_TIMER=y results in an error include/dm/platdata.h:63:33: error: static assertion failed: "Cannot use U_BOOT_DRVINFO with of-platdata. Please use devicetree instead" Add a missing condition in the sandbox driver. Signed-off-by: Heinrich Schuchardt <heinrich.schuchardt@canonical.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2021-03-27sandbox: Only call timer_timebase_fallback() if presentSimon Glass
This function only exists if CPU is enabled. Update the code to take account of this, so that it does not have to be enabled on all sandbox builds. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Sean Anderson <seanga2@gmail.com>
2021-01-05dm: Rename U_BOOT_DEVICE() to U_BOOT_DRVINFO()Simon Glass
The current macro is a misnomer since it does not declare a device directly. Instead, it declares driver_info record which U-Boot uses at runtime to create a device. The distinction seems somewhat minor most of the time, but is becomes quite confusing when we actually want to declare a device, with of-platdata. We are left trying to distinguish between a device which isn't actually device, and a device that is (perhaps an 'instance'?) It seems better to rename this macro to describe what it actually is. The macros is not widely used, since boards should use devicetree to declare devices. Rename it to U_BOOT_DRVINFO(), which indicates clearly that this is declaring a new driver_info record, not a device. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-10-22timer: Return count from timer_ops.get_countSean Anderson
No timer drivers return an error from get_count. Instead of possibly returning an error, just return the count directly. Signed-off-by: Sean Anderson <seanga2@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Claudiu Beznea <claudiu.beznea@microchip.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-09-30timer: Add a test for timer_timebase_fallbackSean Anderson
To test this function, sandbox CPU must set cpu_platdata.timebase_freq on bind. It also needs to expose a method to set the current cpu. I also make some most members of cpu_sandbox_ops static. On the timer side, the device tree property sandbox,timebase-frequency-fallback controls whether sandbox_timer_probe falls back to time_timebase_fallback or to SANDBOX_TIMER_RATE. 2019-04-23regmap: fix regmap_read_poll_timeout warning about sandbox_timer_add_offsetNeil Armstrong
When fixing sandbox test for regmap_read_poll_timeout(), the sandbox_timer_add_offset was introduced but only defined in sandbox code thus generating warnings when used out of sandbox : include/regmap.h:289:2: note: in expansion of macro 'regmap_read_poll_timeout_test' regmap_read_poll_timeout_test(map, addr, val, cond, sleep_us, \ ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ drivers/spi/meson_spifc.c:169:8: note: in expansion of macro 'regmap_read_poll_timeout' ret = regmap_read_poll_timeout(spifc->regmap, REG_SLAVE, data, ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ drivers/spi/meson_spifc.c: In function 'meson_spifc_txrx': include/regmap.h:277:4: warning: implicit declaration of function 'sandbox_timer_add_offset' [-Wimplicit-function-declaration] This fix adds a timer_test_add_offset() only defined in sandbox, and renames the previous sandbox_timer_add_offset() to it. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2016-01-20timer: sandbox: work without device treeStephen Warren
A default invocation of sandbox U-Boot apparently uses no device tree, which means that no timer is registers, which in turn means that the sleep shell command hangs. Fix the sandbox timer code to register a device when there's no DT, just like e.g. the sandbox reset driver does. When there's no DT, the DM uclass can't initialize clock_rate from DT, so set a default value in the timer code instead. 2015-12-01dm: timer: Support 64-bit counterBin Meng
There are timers with a 64-bit counter value but current timer uclass driver assumes a 32-bit one. Modify timer_get_count() to ask timer driver to always return a 64-bit counter value, and provide an inline helper function timer_conv_64() to handle the 32-bit/64-bit conversion automatically.
