2024-11-09tools: imx8image: add possibility to skip dcdHeiko Schocher
Currently U-Boot always adds DCD Image to boot container. On imx8qxp SoC it is possible to init RAM from within SCFW, and adding a DCD image type to the boot container in this case breaks booting (No debug output anymore from SCFW! Nor any output from SPL), so we need to configure a dcd skip somehow. This patch adds a new imx8image_cmd entry CMD_DCD_SKIP and a new entry in imximage.cfg "DCD_SKIP". If set to "true" no DCD image type will be added to the container. Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de> Reviewed-by: Peng Fan <peng.fan@nxp.com>
2024-08-13tools: imx8image: add upower image supportGary Bisson
Part of the upower management was included in a previous commit [1]. This patch only adds the bits required to properly parse a config file that would include the binary as follows: IMAGE PWR upower.bin [1] 6ec65c8558f (tools: image: support i.MX93) Signed-off-by: Gary Bisson <bisson.gary@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Peng Fan <peng.fan@nxp.com>
2024-08-13tools: imx8image: fix soc variable for ULPGary Bisson
Currently the ULP token sets the soc as IMX9, making it impossible to differentiate the two families of processors. However, since the 8ULP requires specific binaries like upower which do not exist in 93, they need to be separated. With clang-15, it is now reported that cont_img_count is unused. This is true as the code will increment / reset this counter, but never functionally use it. Remove it. 2019-01-28Revert "tools: imx8image: set dcd_skip to true"Fabio Estevam
This reverts commit f7e475db4011d18b4ae974154eb022c3af6a4d16. This commit breaks the boot on imx8qxp evk and it should only be re-applied after imx8qxp evk is converted to SPL. Revert it for now, so that imx8qxp evk can be functional. To B0[+] chips, dcd_skip needs to be true. For A0 chip, it needs to be false, however A0 chip is no longer being supported anymore. Considering we are moving code from imx-mkimage to uboot mkimage, to make sure we not introduce some surprise, we still keep dcd_skip code there. Signed-off-by: Peng Fan <peng.fan@nxp.com>
