2024-11-12Merge tag 'scmi-updates-6.13' of ↵Arnd Bergmann
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/sudeep.holla/linux into soc/drivers Arm SCMI updates for v6.13 Just couple of main additions: 1. Support for variable I/O width within ARM SCMI shared memory area. Some shared memory areas might only support a certain access width, such as 32-bit, which memcpy_{from,to}_io() does not adhere to at least on ARM64 by making both 8-bit and 64-bit accesses to such memory. This support updates the shmem layer to support reading from and writing to such shared memory area using the specified I/O width in the Device Tree. The various transport layers making use of the shmem.c code are updated accordingly to pass the I/O accessors that they store. The device tree bindings are also updated for the same. 2. Extension of SCMI transport bindings to add more properties SCMI transports are characterized by a number of properties. The values assumed by some of them tightly depend on the choices taken at design time and on the overall archiecture of the specific platform: things like timeouts, maximum message size and number of in-flight messages are closely tied to the architecture of the platform like number of SCMI agents on the system, physical memory available to the SCMI platform and so on. Such details are not discoverable as they are outside the scope of the SCMI protocol specification. Currently such properties are simple default values defined at build time, but the increasing number and variety of platforms using SCMI with a wide range of designs has increased the need to have a way to describe such properties across all these platforms. Apart from the above two, there is one NULL pointer dereference fix for very age old SCPI protocol driver which seems to be still in use on few platforms. * tag 'scmi-updates-6.13' of https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/sudeep.holla/linux: firmware: arm_scpi: Check the DVFS OPP count returned by the firmware firmware: arm_scmi: Relocate atomic_threshold to scmi_desc firmware: arm_scmi: Use max_msg and max_msg_size devicetree properties dt-bindings: firmware: arm, scmi: Introduce more transport properties firmware: arm_scmi: Calculate virtio PDU max size dynamically firmware: arm_scmi: Account for SHMEM memory overhead firmware: arm_scmi: Support 'reg-io-width' property for shared memory dt-bindings: sram: Document reg-io-width property firmware: arm_scmi: Use vendor string in max-rx-timeout-ms dt-bindings: firmware: arm, scmi: Add missing vendor string firmware: arm_scmi: Reject clear channel request on A2P firmware: arm_scmi: Fix slab-use-after-free in scmi_bus_notifier() Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20241106110727.4007489-1-sudeep.holla@arm.com Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>

Pull SoC dt updates from Arnd Bergmann: "The devicetree updates are fairly well spread out across platforms, with Qualcomm making up about a third of the total. There are three new SoCs in existing product families this: - NXP i.MX95 is a variant of i.MX93, now with six Cortex-A55 cores instead of just two as well as a GPU and more high-speed I/O devices. - Qualcomm QCS8550 is a variant of SM8550 for IOT devices - Airoha EN7581 is a 10G-PON network chip and related to the MT7981 Wireless router chip from its parent Mediatek. In total there are 58 new machines, including four riscv boards and eight for 32-bit arm. The most exciting new addition is probably a pair of laptops based on the Qualcomm x1e80100 (Snapdragon X1 Elite) chip, the Asus Vivobook S15 and the Lenovo Yoga Slim7x. Other noteworthy new additions are: - A total of 20 Qualcomm based machines, mostly Android devices from Samsung, Motorola and LG, as well as a wireless router and some reference designs - Six NXP i.MX based machines, mostly industrial boards along with some reference designs - Mediatek sees some interesting Filogic based routers including the "OpenWRT One", a few new Chromebooks as well as single-board computers. - Four machines from Solidrun based on Marvell cn913x, replacing the older Armada 8000 based counterparts - The four Amlogic machines are all set top boxes or reference designs for them - The nine new Rockchips machines are mostly single-board computers including some interesting ones based on the rk3588 chip like the ROCK 5 ITX board and the CM3588 with its four NVMe slots - The RISC-V boards are all single-board computers based on Starfive JH7110, Microchip MPFS and Allwinner D1, which all had similar boards already There are also a lot of updates to already supported machines, notably for the TI K3, Rockchips, Freescale and of course Qualcomm platforms" * tag 'soc-dt-6.11' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/soc/soc: (846 commits) arm64: dts: allwinner: h616: add crypto engine node riscv: dts: add clock generator for Sophgo SG2042 SoC arm64: dts: rockchip: Add Xunlong Orange Pi 3B dt-bindings: arm: rockchip: Add Xunlong Orange Pi 3B arm64: dts: rockchip: Add Radxa ROCK 3B dt-bindings: arm: rockchip: Add Radxa ROCK 3B mailmap: Update Luca Weiss's email address ARM: dts: ixp4xx: nslu2: beeper uses PWM arm64: dts: rockchip: add ROCK 5 ITX board dt-bindings: arm: rockchip: Add ROCK 5 ITX board arm64: dts: rockchip: Add dma-names to uart1 on Pine64 rk3566 devices arm64: dts: rockchip: Add avdd supplies to hdmi on rock64 arm64: dts: qcom: msm8916-lg-c50: add initial dts for LG Leon LTE arm64: dts: qcom: msm8916-lg-m216: Add initial device tree dt-bindings: arm: qcom: Add msm8916 based LG devices ARM: dts: qcom: msm8960: correct memory base arm64: dts: qcom: ipq9574: Add icc provider ability to gcc dt-bindings: interconnect: Add Qualcomm IPQ9574 support arm64: dts: qcom: sm8150: Add video clock controller node arm64: dts: qcom: pm6150: Add vibrator ...

https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/qcom/linux into soc/drivers Qualcomm driver updates for v6.5 Konrad Dybcio is promoted, from reviewer, to co-maintainer. The mdt_loader gets a fix to the detection of split binaries, where the previous logic sometimes concluded that the first segments was not split, in a split image. The unconditional calling of scm_pas_mem_setup() turns out to cause a regression and is reverted. The altmode subfunction of pmic_glink is enabled for SM8450. A new driver for exposing power statistics from the RPM, for debugging purposes, is introduced. OCMEM gets a debug prints of the hardware version, QMI helpers are transitioned to alloc_ordered_workqueue() and an error message in ramp_controller is improved. An API is introduced to the SMEM driver to allow other drivers to query the SoC id, rather than open-coding the parsing of the relevant SMEM item. This is then used to clean up the Qualcomm NVMEM-based cpufreq driver. Socinfo is extended with knowledge about IPQ5018, IPQ5312 and IPQ5302. * tag 'qcom-drivers-for-6.5' of https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/qcom/linux: (23 commits) soc: qcom: ocmem: Add OCMEM hardware version print cpufreq: qcom-nvmem: use helper to get SMEM SoC ID cpufreq: qcom-nvmem: use SoC ID-s from bindings soc: qcom: smem: introduce qcom_smem_get_soc_id() soc: qcom: smem: Switch to EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL() soc: qcom: socinfo: move SMEM item struct and defines to a header soc: qcom: mdt_loader: Fix unconditional call to scm_pas_mem_setup MAINTAINERS: Add Konrad Dybcio as linux-arm-msm co-maintainer dt-bindings: sram: qcom, imem: Document MSM8226 soc: qcom: socinfo: Add Soc ID for IPQ5312 and IPQ5302 dt-bindings: arm: qcom, ids: add SoC ID for IPQ5312 and IPQ5302 soc: qcom: socinfo: Add IDs for IPQ5018 family dt-bindings: arm: qcom, ids: Add IDs for IPQ5018 family soc: qcom: Introduce RPM master stats driver dt-bindings: soc: qcom: Add RPM Master stats soc: qcom: qmi: Use alloc_ordered_workqueue() to create ordered workqueues soc: qcom: ramp_controller: Improve error message for failure in .remove() dt-bindings: soc: qcom: smd-rpm: allow MSM8226 over SMD soc: qcom: rpmpd: use correct __le32 type dt-bindings: soc: qcom: eud: Fix compatible string in the example ... A recent review highlighted that the json-schema meta-schema allows any combination of if/then/else schema keywords even though if, then or else by themselves makes little sense. With an added meta-schema to only allow valid combinations, there's a handful of schemas found which need fixing in a variety of ways. Incorrect indentation is the most common issue.
