2024-05-20Restore patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"Tom Rini
As part of bringing the master branch back in to next, we need to allow for all of these changes to exist here. Reported-by: Jonas Karlman <jonas@kwiboo.se> Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2024-05-19Revert "Merge patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet""Tom Rini
When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master. This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35. 2024-03-25board: amlogic: fix buffler overflow in seria, mac & usid readNeil Armstrong
While meson_sm_read_efuse() doesn't overflow, the string is not zero terminated and env_set*() will buffer overflow and add random characters to environment. Acked-by: Viacheslav Bocharov <adeep@lexina.in> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20240320-u-boot-fix-p200-serial-v2-1-972be646a301@linaro.org Signed-off-by: Neil Armstrong <neil.armstrong@linaro.org>
2023-08-08Revert "lib: string: Fix strlcpy return value", fix callersMatthias Schiffer
Both the Linux kernel and libbsd agree that strlcpy() should always return strlen(src) and not include the NUL termination. The incorrect U-Boot implementation makes it impossible to check the return value for truncation, and breaks code written with the usual implementation in mind (for example, fdtdec_add_reserved_memory() was subtly broken). I reviewed all callers of strlcpy() and strlcat() and fixed them according to my understanding of the intended function. This reverts commit d3358ecc54be0bc3b4dd11f7a63eab0a2842f772 and adds related fixes. 2022-01-20board: amlogic: vim3: configure serial# from ethaddrMattijs Korpershoek
The Khadas VIM3 and VIM3L boards, which are supported in Android via Yukawa [1] need a serial number for usb/fastboot enumeration. Whenever the environment does not provide a serial#, use the eth mac address as serial#. 2021-08-02global: Convert simple_strtoul() with hex to hextoul()Simon Glass
It is a pain to have to specify the value 16 in each call. Add a new hextoul() function and update the code to use it. Add a proper comment to simple_strtoul() while we are here. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2021-02-02common: Drop asm/global_data.h from common headerSimon Glass
Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so remove that include. 2021-01-11board: amlogic: add MMC boot device detection for environment loadMarek Szyprowski
Detect eMMC or SD card boot on Odroid-C4/N2 and Khadas VIM3(l) boards and report proper MMC device for the environment loading code. This allows to automatically load and store environment variables on the FAT partition or RAW offset of the MMC device without the need to use different configurations on eMMC and SD card. To use this feature with environment stored on FAT partition, one has to specify an empty device part (i.e. ":1" for the first partition) in CONFIG_ENV_FAT_DEVICE_AND_PART to let the code to set the device to the value returned by mmc_get_env_dev() function. 2020-10-05board: amlogic: vim3: add support for dynamic PCIe enableNeil Armstrong
The VIM3 on-board MCU can mux the PCIe/USB3.0 shared differential lines using a FUSB340TMX USB 3.1 SuperSpeed Data Switch between an USB3.0 Type A connector and a M.2 Key M slot. The PHY driving these differential lines is shared between the USB3.0 controller and the PCIe Controller, thus only a single controller can use it. This adds this dynamic switching right before booting Linux and the configuration steps in the boards documentation.
