The BootROM in Rockchip SoCs will enter maskrom mode when boot firmware
cannot be found in nand/spi/mmc storage.
In maskrom mode the USB OTG port can accept one of two custom commands.
Initially a 0x471 command to load TPL into SRAM. After TPL has been
executed and it has returned back-to-BROM, a 0x472 command to load SPL
into start of DRAM.
Add two binman images that can be used to RAM boot from maskrom mode:
- u-boot-rockchip-usb471.bin that contains TPL to init DRAM.
- u-boot-rockchip-usb472.bin that contains SPL and the normal FIT
payload with i.e. U-Boot proper, TF-A and FDT.
A config fragment rockchip-ramboot.config can be used to enable building
of these two binman images, e.g.:
make generic-rk3588_defconfig rockchip-ramboot.config
These binman images can be used with the proprietary rkbin boot_merger
tool to create a special loader image that can be used with tools such
as rkdeveloptool or rockusb tools to RAM boot from maskrom, e.g.:
Create loader image:
$ ../rkbin/tools/boot_merger ./RK3588MINIALL.ini
Boot from maskrom:
$ rkdeveloptool db u-boot-rockchip-rk3588-loader.bin
or
$ rockusb download-boot u-boot-rockchip-rk3588-loader.bin
Another option that does not require use of proprietary tools is using
open source tools such as rkflashtool or rkusbboot that can load the
binman images directly without any need to first create a special loader
image to RAM boot from maskrom, e.g.:
$ rkflashtool l < u-boot-rockchip-usb471.bin
$ rkflashtool L < u-boot-rockchip-usb472.bin
or
$ rkusbboot u-boot-rockchip-usb471.bin u-boot-rockchip-usb472.bin

The 5 Max is another board in the Orange Pi 5 family.
It's overall similar to the 5 Plus, but in a smaller form factor,
which leads to some I/O being reshuffled, but nothing relevant
to u-boot.
So, just reuse the config for the 5 Plus and adjust the DT names.

The device tree for ASUS Tinker Board and S variant in dts/upstream can
be used as-is by U-Boot, migrate board to OF_UPSTREAM.
The change to use DT from dts/upstream will include minor changes and
fixes related to leds and regulators.

Enable MISC_INIT_R and ROCKCHIP_EFUSE to read cpuid from efuse and set
the cpuid# and serial# env vars.
Change to read mac address from eeprom in rockchip_early_misc_init_r()
to ensure the ethaddr env var is set before rockchip_setup_macaddr() try
to set ethaddr based on cpuid.

ROCK Pi E v3.0 uses DDR4 SDRAM instead of DDR3 SDRAM used in v1.2x.
prepare new rk3328-rock-pi-e-v3.dts in u-boot which just includes
upstream rk3328-rock-pi-e.dts.
defconfig still uses
CONFIG_DEFAULT_FDT_FILE="rockchip/rk3328-rock-pi-e.dtb"
because v3.0 and prior are compatible.

When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay

so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master.
This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing

RK3588-based devices now support creating DRAM banks with proper holes
by reading the ATAGS from Rockchip TPL blob, so let's use that mechanism
instead.
Since ft_board_setup isn't defined anymore, there's no need for
selecting CONFIG_OF_BOARD_SETUP.
Similarly, because the toybrick_rk3588.c would be empty, it is simply
removed, with the (would-be-empty) Makefile as well.
The CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANK now defaults to 10 which is a safe bet for
reading banks from ATAGS, so let's use the default value instead.

Currently, if the environment is stored on an MMC device, the device
number is hardcoded by CONFIG_SYS_MMC_ENV_DEV. This is problematic
because many boards can choose between booting from an SD card or a
removable eMMC. For example, the Rock64 defconfig sets
CONFIG_SYS_MMC_ENV_DEV=1, which corresponds to the SD card. If an eMMC
is used as the boot device and no SD card is installed, it is impossible
to save the environment.
To avoid this problem, we can choose the environment MMC device based on
the boot device. The theobroma-systems boards already contain code to do
this, so this commit simply moves it to the common Rockchip board file,
with some refactoring. I also removed another implementation of
mmc_get_env_dev() from tinker_rk3288 that performed MMC boot device
detection by reading a bootrom register.
This has been tested on a Rock64v2.

These functions is excluded from SPL build and BOARD_EARLY_INIT_F is not
enabled for any of the affected boards, so this legacy code is not used.
Rockchip common board code already enable all regulators flagged as
always-on or boot-on in device tree, and fixed/gpio regulators now have
basic reference counting support so the original intent of this code is
no longer valid.
Remove the unneeded and unused code that used to enable usb regulators.

Update defconfig for rk3328-rock-pi-e with new defaults.
Remove the xPL_DRIVERS_MISC=y option, no misc driver is used in xPL.
Add CONFIG_SPL_FIT_SIGNATURE=y to let SPL verify an auto generated hash
of FIT images. This help indicate if there is an issue loading any of
the images to DRAM or SRAM. Also add LEGACY_IMAGE_FORMAT=y to keep
support for scripts.
Remove SPL_I2C=y and SPL_PMIC_RK8XX=y, the related i2c and pmic nodes is
not included in the SPL fdt.
Add CMD_GPIO=y and CMD_REGULATOR=y to add the helpful gpio and regulator
commands.
Add ROCKCHIP_EFUSE=y and remove NET_RANDOM_ETHADDR=y, ethaddr and
eth1addr is set based on cpuid read from eFUSE.
Add SPL_DM_SEQ_ALIAS=y option to use alias sequence number in SPL.
Add DM_MDIO=y to ensure device tree props can be used by PHY driver.
Remove REGULATOR_PWM=y, the pwm-regulator compatible is not used.
Add RNG_ROCKCHIP=y and DM_RNG=y options to support the onboard random
generator.
Also add myself as a reviewer for this board.

While there are currently uses for a stanza of "config BOARD_SPECIFIC_OPTIONS"
followed by "def_bool y" and a series of select/imply statements, having
this option set followed by nothing else doesn't provide anything.
Remove these stanzas.

The different macros use writel which is defined in asm/io.h, so let's
include the header so users of hardware.h do not need to include
asm/io.h as well.
While at it, remove asm/io.h includes wherever
asm/arch-rockchip/hardware.h is included already.

As part of reviewing a new platform, Daniel Schwierzeck noted that we
can have an empty Makefile in the board directory and don't need an
empty board.c file as well. Further with further cleanup in the
Makefile we can now omit the Makefile entirely. Remove a number of now
unnecessary board.c and Makefiles.

Add Bananapi R2 Pro board.
tested:

- both front usb-ports
- sata
- wan-port
lan-ports are connected to mt7531 switch where driver needs to be
separated from mtk ethernet-driver.
