2025-01-28board: solidrun: clearfog: enable ddr odt0 on write for both chip-selectJosua Mayer
Enabling ODT is required to suppress reflection of the data signal on DDR write operation. SolidRun Armada 388 SoM only connects M_ODT[0] even when both chip-select are used. Upgrade serdes 1 rate to 3.125Gbps to support a 2.5Gbps link. Additionally add comments documenting each serdes' function of clearfog gtr, which are shared with clearfog pro. The Linux device tree assumes the SDHC case. Detect if the device is an eMMC and fixup the device-tree so it will be detected by Linux. Commit 369e532691e0 ("ddr: marvell: a38x: allow board specific ODT configuration") added the odt_config member to struct mv_ddr_topology_map ahead of the clk_enable and ck_delay members. This means that any boards that configured either of clk_enable or ck_delay needed to have their board topology updated. This affects the x530 and clearfog boards. Other A38x boards don't touch any of the trailing members of mv_ddr_topology_map so don't need updating. Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so remove that include. The Linux coding style guide (Documentation/process/coding-style.rst) clearly says: It's a **mistake** to use typedef for structures and pointers. Besides, using typedef for structures is annoying when you try to make headers self-contained. Let's say you have the following function declaration in a header: void foo(bd_t *bd); This is not self-contained since bd_t is not defined. To tell the compiler what 'bd_t' is, you need to include <asm/u-boot.h> #include <asm/u-boot.h> void foo(bd_t *bd); Then, the include direcective pulls in more bloat needlessly. If you use 'struct bd_info' instead, it is enough to put a forward declaration as follows: struct bd_info; void foo(struct bd_info *bd); Right, typedef'ing bd_t is a mistake. I used coccinelle to generate this commit. We should not use typedefs in U-Boot. They cannot be used as forward declarations which means that header files must include the full header to access them. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. The order of members in struct hws_topology_map is cas_wl, cas_l. The comments in the original db-88f6820-gp.c had this wrong and have been copied to other Armada-385 based boards. Practically this hasn't made a difference since all these boards set both cas_wl and cas_l to 0 (autodetect) but if there were ever a board that did need to set these explicitly they would run into unexpected issued. Update the comments to reflect the correct order of structure members. The DDR3 training code for Marvell A38X currently computes 1t timing when given board topology map of the Turris Omnia, but Omnia needs 2t. This patch adds support for enforcing the 2t timing in struct hws_topology_map, through a new enum hws_timing, which can assume following values: HWS_TIM_DEFAULT - default behaviour, compute whether to enable 2t from the number of CSs HWS_TIM_1T - enforce 1t HWS_TIM_2T - enforce 2t This patch also sets all the board topology maps (db-88f6820-amc, db-88f6820-gp, controlcenterdc and clearfog) to have timing set to HWS_TIM_DEFAULT.
