Wrap the dm_i2c_read() call is used for FRU EEPROM reads in a
retry loop, attempting up to EEPROM_FRU_READ_RETRY times if a
-ETIMEDOUT error is returned. The loop exits immediately on
success or any error other than -ETIMEDOUT. This improves
robustness against transient I2C timeouts during FRU detection
and decoding.

Line 171 in README is describing that before relocation no code
should use global variable because global variables are placed
to BSS section which is initialized to 0 after relocation.
In the case of ZynqMP, where DTB reselection is enabled, the EEPROM
is read again after relocation. This prevents the issue from being
observed. However, in Versal Gen 2, where DTB reselection is also
enabled, the EEPROM is not read after relocation because it is not
yet wired in board_init(). This leads to a situation where the code
accesses an incorrect memory location, because none is really
checking the board_info is valid or not. To fix, move the board_info
into the data section and also check whether it is valid or not.

Now that capsule update sets the dfu_alt_info environment variable
explicitly, there is no need to support it in the set_dfu_alt_info()
function. Decouple SET_DFU_ALT_INFO from EFI_CAPSULE_FIRMWARE_FIT and
EFI_CAPSULE_FIRMWARE_RAW. For many boards, this was the only use of
set_dfu_alt_info() so remove the function entirely.

This returns a devicetree and updates a parameter with an error code.
Swap it, since this fits better with the way U-Boot normally works. It
also (more easily) allows leaving the existing pointer unchanged.
No yaks were harmed in this change, but there is a very small code-size
reduction.
For sifive, the OF_BOARD option must be set for the function to be

Add what it takes to enable NETDEVICES with NET_LWIP and enable DHCP as

to this code having an implicit dependency on do_tftpb().
Note that PXE is likely non-fonctional with NET_LWIP (or at least not

The current LMB API's for allocating and reserving memory use a
per-caller based memory view. Memory allocated by a caller can then be
overwritten by another caller. Make these allocations and reservations
persistent using the alloced list data structure.
Two alloced lists are declared -- one for the available(free) memory,
and one for the used memory. Once full, the list can then be extended
at runtime.

Tim Harvey <tharvey@gateworks.com> says:
This series will automatically add /chosen/kaslr-seed to the dt if
DM_RNG is enabled
during the boot process.
If RANDOMIZE_BASE is enabled in the Linux kernel instructing it to
randomize the virtual address at which the kernel image is loaded, it
expects entropy to be provided by the bootloader by populating
/chosen/kaslr-seed with a 64-bit value from source of entropy at boot.
If we have DM_RNG enabled populate this value automatically when
fdt_chosen is called. We skip this if ARMV8_SEC_FIRMWARE_SUPPORT
is enabled as its implementation uses a different source of entropy
that is not yet implemented as DM_RNG. We also skip this if
MEASURED_BOOT is enabled as in that case any modifications to the
dt will cause measured boot to fail (although there are many other
places the dt is altered).
As this fdt node is added elsewhere create a library function and
use it to deduplicate code. We will provide a parameter to overwrite
the node if present.
For our automatic injection, we will use the first rng device and
not overwrite if already present with a non-zero value (which may
have been populated by an earlier boot stage). This way if a board
specific ft_board_setup() function wants to customize this behavior
it can call fdt_kaslrseed with a rng device index of its choosing and
set overwrite true.
Note that the kalsrseed command (CMD_KASLRSEED) is likely pointless now
but left in place in case boot scripts exist that rely on this command
existing and returning success. An informational message is printed to
alert users of this command that it is likely no longer needed.
Note that the Kernel's EFI STUB only relies on EFI_RNG_PROTOCOL for
randomization and completely ignores the kaslr-seed for its own
randomness needs (i.e the randomization of the physical placement of
the kernel). It gets weeded out from the DTB that gets handed over via
efi_install_fdt() as it would also mess up the measured boot DTB TPM
measurements as well.

SPI flash offset from which to load the U-Boot script, e.g. 0xffe000
script_size_f

The bootscript is expected at a default address specific to each
platform.
When high speed memory like Programmable Logic Double Data Rate RAM
(PL DDR RAM) or Higher Bandwidth Memory RAM (HBM) is used the boot.scr
may be loaded at a different offset. The offset needs to be set through
setenv. Due to the default values in some cases the boot.scr is falling
in between the kernel partition.
The bootscript address or the bootscript offset is fetched directly from
the DT and updated in the environment making it easier for automated

The 0xC1 can be used in two cases.
1. Char record type 8-bit ASCII + Latin 1 with length of 1.

"ASCII+LATIN1" is defined as the printable characters from the

board_fit_config_name_match()
Board name in FIT image can use U-Boot regular expressions SLRE to instruct
U-Boot to handle all revisions for certain board.
For example when name (description property) is saying "zynqmp-zcu104-revA"
only description with this name is selected.
When zynqmp-zcu104.* is described then all board revisions will be handled
by this fragment.
Xilinx normally have some board revisions which are SW compatible to each
other. That's why make sense to define board name with revisions first
follow by generic description with '.*' at the end like this:
config_1 {
description = "zynqmp-zcu104-rev[AB]";
fdt = "zynqmp-zcu104-revA";
};
config_2 {
description = "zynqmp-zcu104.*";
fdt = "zynqmp-zcu104-revC";
};
