2025-05-29global: Add <linux/string.h> instead of long indirect include pathTom Rini
In a number of cases we have C files which rely on a chain of indirect include paths to get <linux/string.h> to be included via <command.h>. To facilitate cleaning up <command.h> make this code directly include <linux/string.h>. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2024-05-20Restore patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"Tom Rini
As part of bringing the master branch back in to next, we need to allow for all of these changes to exist here. Reported-by: Jonas Karlman <jonas@kwiboo.se> Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2024-05-19Revert "Merge patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet""Tom Rini
When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master. This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35. 2023-10-16cmd: Convert existing long help messages to the new macroTom Rini
- Generally we just drop the #ifdef CONFIG_SYS_LONGHELP and endif lines and use U_BOOT_LONGHELP to declare the same variable name as before - In a few places, either rename the variable to follow convention or introduce the variable as it was being done inline before. 2023-09-23cmd: dm: allow for selecting uclass and deviceAKASHI Takahiro
The output from "dm tree" or "dm uclass" is a bit annoying if the number of devices available on the system is huge. (This is especially true on sandbox when I debug some DM code.) With this patch, we can specify the uclass name or the device name that we are interested in in order to limit the output. For instance, => dm uclass usb uclass 121: usb 0 usb@1 @ 0bcff8b0, seq 1 uclass 124: usb => dm tree usb:usb@1 Class Index Probed Driver Name ----------------------------------------------------------- usb 0 [ ] usb_sandbox usb@1 usb_hub 0 [ ] usb_hub `-- hub usb_emul 0 [ ] usb_sandbox_hub `-- hub-emul usb_emul 1 [ ] usb_sandbox_flash |-- flash-stick@0 usb_emul 2 [ ] usb_sandbox_flash |-- flash-stick@1 usb_emul 3 [ ] usb_sandbox_flash |-- flash-stick@2 usb_emul 4 [ ] usb_sandbox_keyb `-- keyb@3 If you want forward-matching against a uclass or udevice name, you can specify "-e" option. => dm uclass -e usb uclass 15: usb_emul 0 hub-emul @ 0bcffb00, seq 0 1 flash-stick@0 @ 0bcffc30, seq 1 2 flash-stick@1 @ 0bcffdc0, seq 2 3 flash-stick@2 @ 0bcfff50, seq 3 4 keyb@3 @ 0bd000e0, seq 4 uclass 64: usb_mass_storage uclass 121: usb 0 usb@1 @ 0bcff8b0, seq 1 uclass 122: usb_dev_generic uclass 123: usb_hub 0 hub @ 0bcff9b0, seq 0 uclass 124: usb => dm tree -e usb Class Index Probed Driver Name ----------------------------------------------------------- usb 0 [ ] usb_sandbox usb@1 usb_hub 0 [ ] usb_hub `-- hub usb_emul 0 [ ] usb_sandbox_hub `-- hub-emul usb_emul 1 [ ] usb_sandbox_flash |-- flash-stick@0 usb_emul 2 [ ] usb_sandbox_flash |-- flash-stick@1 usb_emul 3 [ ] usb_sandbox_flash |-- flash-stick@2 usb_emul 4 [ ] usb_sandbox_keyb `-- keyb@3 Signed-off-by: AKASHI Takahiro <takahiro.akashi@linaro.org> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2022-06-28dm: core: Add a command to show driver model statisticsSimon Glass
This command shows the memory used by driver model along with various hints as to what it might be if some 'core' tags were moved to use the tag list instead of a core (i.e. always-there) pointer. This may help with future work to reduce memory usage. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2022-06-28dm: core: Sort dm subcommandsSimon Glass
Put these in alphabetic order, both in the help and in the implementation, as there are quite a few subcommands now. Tweak the help for 'dm tree' to better explain what it does. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2022-06-06cmd: dm: migrate dm command to use U_BOOT_CMD_WITH_SUBCMDS()Ovidiu Panait
Migrate dm command to use U_BOOT_CMD_WITH_SUBCMDS() helper macro, to reduce duplicated code. We can also drop the CONFIG_NEEDS_MANUAL_RELOC exception, as the command list is updated post relocation in board_r.c initcall initr_manual_reloc_cmdtable(). 2020-07-07cmd: dm: Fixed/Added DM driver listing subcommandsNiel Fourie
Renamed dm "drivers" subcommand to "compat" (as it listed compatibility strings) and prevent it from segfaulting when drivers have no of_match populated. Added a new "drivers" subcommand to dump a list of all known DM drivers and for each, their uclass id, uclass driver and names of attached devices. Added a new "static" subcommand to dump a list of DM drivers with statically defined platform data. 2020-05-18command: Remove the cmd_tbl_t typedefSimon Glass
We should not use typedefs in U-Boot. They cannot be used as forward declarations which means that header files must include the full header to access them. Drop the typedef and rename the struct to remove the _s suffix which is now not useful. This requires quite a few header-file additions. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
