2025-06-06include/dt-bindings: Remove identical headersTom Rini
As part of moving to using OF_UPSTREAM and so the upstream dt-bindings headers we have a number of these headers that are in our include directory and are currently identical to the versions in dts/upstream. We can remove these now to prevent future conflicts. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2024-11-20treewide: remove Qualcomm dt-binding headers that are available upstreamCaleb Connolly
Some dt-binding headers mask the upstream ones which can lead to build failures, or worse: super weird bugs, if they get out of sync. Remove these headers so our devicetree and binding headers will both be in sync with upstream. 2024-08-09rockchip: Use files from dts/upstreamJonas Karlman
Most Rockchip aarch64 targets have now migrated to use OF_UPSTREAM, however a few of the old dtsi and dt-bindings files still remain. Remove remaining common dtsi and header files that can be included directly from dts/upstream to prevent possible issues when future tags from devicetree-binding is merged. No changes is expected with this. Signed-off-by: Jonas Karlman <jonas@kwiboo.se> Reviewed-by: Quentin Schulz <quentin.schulz@cherry.de>
2024-05-28arm: exynos: Migrate E850-96 board to OF_UPSTREAMSam Protsenko
Use upstream device tree files and bindings. To do so: - imply (enable) OF_UPSTREAM option for E850-96 target - point DEFAULT_DEVICE_TREE in E850-96 config to upstream dts - remove now not needed local dts files, binding docs and headers - update MAINTAINERS and board/samsung/e850-96/MAINTAINERS correspondingly Upstream device tree files for Exynos850 SoC and E850-96 board are pretty much the same as local (removed) ones, so the conversion is rather straightforward and painless in this case. The appended dts file (arch/arm/dts/exynos850-e850-96-u-boot.dtsi) stays unchanged. The only remaining local dt-bindings doc for E850-96 board is exynos-pmu.yaml. It wasn't removed as it's quite different from Linux kernel version. Particularly U-Boot local version of exynos-pmu.yaml describes "samsung,uart-debug-1" property, which is not present in Linux kernel binding. Later it might be upstreamed to Linux kernel, and once it's done the U-Boot exynos-pmu.yaml binding can be removed. No functional change. 2024-01-24dt-bindings: soc: samsung: Add Exynos USISam Protsenko
Add USI bindings documentation and header file. Those are taken from Linux kernel [1,2], but the documentation was reworked a bit to only describe the compatibles that will be supported in U-Boot soon. TISCI protocol supports for enabling the device either with exclusive permissions for the requesting host or with sharing across the hosts. There are certain devices which are exclusive to Linux context and there are certain devices that are shared across different host contexts.
