2024-04-08sandbox: capsule: binman: generate some capsules as part of buildSughosh Ganu
Currently, all the capsules for the sandbox platform are generated at the time of running the capsule tests. To showcase generation of capsules through binman, generate all raw(non FIT payload) capsules needed for the sandbox platform as part of the build. This acts as an illustrative example for generating capsules as part of a platform's build. Make corresponding change in the capsule test's configuration to get these capsules from the build directory. Signed-off-by: Sughosh Ganu <sughosh.ganu@linaro.org>
2023-03-02sandbox: Use the generic VPL option to enable VPLSimon Glass
Avoid using CONFIG_SANDBOX_VPL since we have a generic option which works just as well. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2023-03-02sandbox: Tidy up RTC optionsSimon Glass
At present we enable the sandbox RTC driver for all builds. Add a separate Kconfig option to control this, so that it can be disabled in TPL, where it is not needed. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2023-02-14dm: dts: Convert driver model tags to use new schemaSimon Glass
Now that Linux has accepted these tags, move the device tree files in U-Boot over to use them. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2022-12-05global: Move remaining CONFIG_SYS_SDRAM_* to CFG_SYS_SDRAM_*Tom Rini
The rest of the unmigrated CONFIG symbols in the CONFIG_SYS_SDRAM namespace do not easily transition to Kconfig. In many cases they likely should come from the device tree instead. Move these out of CONFIG namespace and in to CFG namespace. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2022-11-07dm: sandbox: Switch over to using the new host uclassSimon Glass
Update the sandbox implementation to use UCLASS_HOST and adjust all the pieces to continue to work: - Update the 'host' command to use the new API - Replace various uses of UCLASS_ROOT with UCLASS_HOST - Disable test_eficonfig since it doesn't work (this should have a unit test to allow this to be debugged) - Update the blk test to use the new API - Drop the old header file Unfortunately it does not seem to be possible to split this change up further. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2022-10-31sandbox: Add an image for VPLSimon Glass
Use binman to build an image which includes all the U-Boot phases so that a full VBE boot can take place with just that image.bin file. Attach the image file to mmc2 so it can be loaded. VBE is used to load images in two phases: - In VPL, VBE decides which SPL image to load - In SPL, VBE decides which U-Boot image to load The latter should really be determined by VPL, since it does the full signature verification on the selected configuration. However, we have separate configurations for SPL and U-Boot proper, so for now we keep it simple and have SPL do its own verification. This will need to be tidied up later. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2022-06-08sandbox: net: Remove fake-host-hwaddrSean Anderson
Instead of reading a pseudo-rom mac address from the device tree, just use whatever we get from write_hwaddr. This has the effect of using the mac address from the environment (or from the device tree, if it is specified). 2022-04-25bootstd: sandbox: Add a hostfs bootdevSimon Glass
It is helpful to be able to try out bootstd on sandbox, using host files. This is easier than using a block device, which must have a filesystem, partition table, etc. Add a new driver which provides this feature. For now it is not used in tests, but it is likely to be useful. Add notes in the devicetree also, but don't disturb the tests. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2021-09-16sandbox: Add license headers to the dts filesSimon Glass
Many of these files are missing a header. Fix this. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2021-01-05sandbox: Update dts files to reduce SPL sizeSimon Glass
At present there are require a few devices in the devicetree which are not actually used in SPL. This will cause problems with the new of-platdata, since it will try to instantiate devices which are not compiled into U-Boot. Update the devicetree to remove these devices from SPL. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-10-29dm: Add a test for of-platdata parent informationSimon Glass
Add a simple test that we can obtain the correct parent for an I2C device. This requires updating the driver names to match the compatible strings, adding them to the devicetree and enabling a few options. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-04-16sandbox: add reserved-memory node in device treeHeinrich Schuchardt

2020-04-16sandbox: Update PCI nodes in dts filesTom Rini
The way the PCI nodes are written today causes a number of warnings if we stop disabling some of the warnings we pass to DTC. As these warnings aren't disabled in current Linux Kernel builds, we should aim to not disable them here either, so rewrite these slightly. Update the driver model doc as well. 2019-10-13dm: Add a dsi host uclassYannick Fertré
Display Serial Interface (DSI) host can usefully be modelled as their own uclass. DSI defines a serial bus and a communication protocol between the host and the device (panel, bridge). Signed-off-by: Yannick Fertré <yannick.fertre@st.com>

Add a memory node which indicates the size of sandbox memory. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2019-07-10sandbox: Add an alias for SPISimon Glass
At present 'sf probe' does not work since it cannot find SPI bus 0. Add an alias to correct this, now that we no-longer have the --spi_sf option. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2019-07-10sandbox: Create a common sandbox DTSimon Glass
At present sandbox and sandbox64 have duplicated nodes. This is hard to maintain since changes in one need to be manually added to the other. Create a common file to solve this problem. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2015-04-18sandbox: eth: Add support for using the 'lo' interfaceJoe Hershberger
The 'lo' interface on Linux doesn't support thinks like ARP or link-layer access like we use to talk to a normal network interface. A higher-level network API must be used to access localhost. As written, this interface is limited to not supporting ICMP since the API doesn't allow the socket to be opened for all IP traffic and be able to receive at the same time. UDP is far more useful to test with, so it was selected over ICMP. Ping won't work, but things like TFTP should work.
