2024-10-27drivers: misc: irq-uclass: Update irq_get_by_indexPatrick Rudolph
Support reading the "interrupts" property from the devicetree in case the "interrupts-extended" property isn't found. As the "interrupts" property is commonly used, this allows to parse all existing FDT and makes irq_get_by_index() more useful. The "interrupts" property doesn't contain a phandle as "interrupts-extended" does, so implement a new method to locate the interrupt-parent called irq_get_interrupt_parent(). TEST: Read the interrupts from the GIC node for ACPI MADT generation. Signed-off-by: Patrick Rudolph <patrick.rudolph@9elements.com> Reviewed-by: Moritz Fischer <moritzf@google.com>

2024-05-19Revert "Merge patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet""Tom Rini
When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master. This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35. 2021-03-26dm: Rename device_get_by_driver_info_idx()Simon Glass
This function finds a device by its driver_info index. With of-platdata-inst we do not use driver_info, but instead instantiate udevice records at build-time. However the semantics of using the function are the same in each case: the caller provides an index and gets back a device. So rename the function to device_get_by_ofplat_idx(), so that it can be used for both situations. The caller does not really need to worry about the details. 2020-10-29dm: Use driver_info index instead of pointerSimon Glass
At present we use a 'node' pointer in the of-platadata phandle_n_arg structs. This is a pointer to the struct driver_info for a particular device, and we can use it to obtain the struct udevice pointer itself. Since we don't know the struct udevice pointer until it is allocated in memory, we have to fix up the phandle_n_arg.node at runtime. This is annoying since it requires that SPL's data is writable and adds a small amount of extra (generated) code in the dm_populate_phandle_data() function. Now that we can find a driver_info by its index, it is easier to put the index in the phandle_n_arg structures. Update dtoc to do this, add a new device_get_by_driver_info_idx() to look up a device by drive_info index and update the tests to match. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-07-17x86: apl: Fix save/restore of ITSS prioritiesSimon Glass
The FSP-S changes the ITSS priorities. The code that tries to save it before running FSP-S and restore it afterwards does not work as U-Boot relocates in between the save and restore. This means that the driver data saved before relocation is lost and the new driver just sees zeroes. Fix this by allocating space in the relocated memory for the ITSS data. Save it there and access it from the driver after relocation. This fixes interrupt handling on coral. Also drop the log_msg_ret() in irq_first_device_type() since this function can be called speculatively in places where we are not sure if there is an interrupt controller of that type. The resulting log errors are confusing when there is no error. 2020-07-17irq: Add a method to convert an interrupt to ACPISimon Glass
When generating ACPI tables we need to convert IRQs in U-Boot to the ACPI structures required by ACPI. This is a SoC-specific conversion and cannot be handled by generic code, so add a new IRQ method to do the conversion. 2020-07-09dtoc: extend dtoc to use struct driver_info when linking nodesWalter Lozano
In the current implementation, when dtoc parses a dtb to generate a struct platdata it converts the information related to linked nodes as pointers to struct platdata of destination nodes. By doing this, it makes difficult to get pointer to udevices created based on these information. This patch extends dtoc to use struct driver_info when populating information about linked nodes, which makes it easier to later get the devices created. In this context, reimplement functions like clk_get_by_index_platdata() which made use of the previous approach. 2020-02-07dm: irq: Add support for requesting interruptsSimon Glass
At present driver model supports the IRQ uclass but there is no way to request a particular interrupt for a driver. Add a mechanism, similar to clock and reset, to read the interrupts required by a device from the device tree and to request those interrupts. U-Boot itself does not have interrupt-driven handlers, so just provide a means to read and clear an interrupt. This can be useful to handle peripherals which must use an interrupt to determine when data is available, for example. Bring over the basic binding file as well, from Linux v5.4. Note that the older binding is not supported in U-Boot; the newer 'special form' must be used. Add a simple test of the new functionality. 2020-02-07dm: irq: Add support for interrupt controller typesSimon Glass
There can be different types of interrupt controllers in a system and some drivers may need to distinguish between these. In general this can be handled using the device tree by adding the interrupt information to device nodes. However on x86 devices we have interrupt controllers which are not tied to any particular device and not really used in U-Boot. These still need to be inited, so a convenient method is to give each controller a type and allow a particular controller type to be probed. Add support for this in sandbox along with a test.
