2026-04-03rtc: Remove legacy DS1338 supportTom Rini
The DS1338 RTC chip is supported in DM mode by the DS1307 driver, and at this point all users have been using this functionality. It was a function of Kconfig configuration that implied otherwise. Remove the unused legacy symbols. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

This is a basic driver for the ultra-low-power Abracon AB x80x series of RTC chips. It supports in particular, the supersets AB0805 and AB1805. It allows reading and writing the time, and enables the supercapacitor or battery charger. Signed-off-by: Ying-Chun Liu (PaulLiu) <paul.liu@linaro.org>
2020-10-27rtc: provide an emulated RTCHeinrich Schuchardt
On a board without hardware clock this software real time clock can be used. The build time is used to initialize the RTC. So you will have to adjust the time either manually using the 'date' command or use the 'sntp' to update the RTC with the time from a network time server. See CONFIG_CMD_SNTP and CONFIG_BOOTP_NTPSERVER. The RTC time is advanced according to CPU ticks. Signed-off-by: Heinrich Schuchardt <xypron.glpk@gmx.de>

2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2015-05-05dm: rtc: sandbox: Add an emulated I2C RTC deviceSimon Glass
Add a sandbox I2C emulation device which emulates a real-time clock. The clock works off an offset from the current system time, and supports setting and getting the clock, as well as access to byte-width regisers in the RTC. It does not support changing the system time. This device can be used for testing the 'date' command on sandbox, as well as the RTC uclass. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2015-05-05dm: rtc: Add a uclass for real-time clocksSimon Glass
Add a uclass for real-time clocks which support getting the current time, setting it and resetting the chip to a known-working state. Some RTCs have additional registers which can be used to store settings, so also provide an interface to these. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2014-02-19kbuild: use Linux Kernel build scriptsMasahiro Yamada
Now we are ready to switch over to real Kbuild. This commit disables temporary scripts: scripts/{Makefile.build.tmp, Makefile.host.tmp} and enables real Kbuild scripts: scripts/{Makefile.build,Makefile.host,Makefile.lib}. This switch is triggered by the line in scripts/Kbuild.include -build := -f $(if $(KBUILD_SRC),$(srctree)/)scripts/Makefile.build.tmp obj +build := -f $(if $(KBUILD_SRC),$(srctree)/)scripts/Makefile.build obj We need to adjust some build scripts for U-Boot. But smaller amount of modification is preferable. Additionally, we need to fix compiler flags which are locally added or removed. In Kbuild, it is not allowed to change CFLAGS locally. Instead, ccflags-y, asflags-y, cppflags-y, CFLAGS_$(basetarget).o, CFLAGS_REMOVE_$(basetarget).o are prepared for that purpose.
