2025-06-02usb: dwc2: Unify flush and reset logic with v4.20a supportKongyang Liu
This patch merges flush and reset logic for both host and gadget code into a common set of functions, reducing duplication. It also adds support for the updated reset logic to compatible with core version since v4.20a. This patch mainly refers to the patch in the kernel. link: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=65dc2e725286106f99c6f6b78e3d9c52c15f3a9c Signed-off-by: Kongyang Liu <seashell11234455@gmail.com> Tested-by: Peter Robinson <pbrobinson@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Junhui Liu <junhui.liu@pigmoral.tech> Reviewed-by: Mattijs Korpershoek <mkorpershoek@baylibre.com> Reviewed-by: Marek Vasut <marex@denx.de> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20250110-dwc2-dev-v4-7-987f4fd6f8b2@pigmoral.tech Signed-off-by: Mattijs Korpershoek <mkorpershoek@kernel.org>

2025-06-02usb: dwc2: Fix incorrect ULPI_UTMI_SEL bit settingJunhui Liu
The ULPI_UTMI_SEL bit in the DWC2 driver was set incorrectly. According to the datasheet [1], this bit should be set to 0 for UTMI interface and 1 for ULPI interface. The existing code had this logic reversed, causing the interface selection to be incorrect. This commit corrects the ULPI_UTMI_SEL bit setting to match the datasheet's description. Referencing the kernel's code [2] also confirms this fix. 2023-06-21usb: dwc2: Fix the write to W1C fields in HPRT registerTeik Heng Chong
Fix the write to the HPRT register which treat W1C fields as if they were mere RW. This leads to unintended clearing of such fields This bug was found during the testing on Simics model. Referring to specification DesignWare Cores USB 2.0 Hi-Speed On-The-Go (OTG) Databook (3.30a)"5.3.4.8 Host Port Control and Status Register (HPRT)", the HPRT.PrtPwr is cleared by this mistake. 2021-06-09usb: dwc2: Avoid delay when initializing USB peripheral by dwc2João Loureiro
When `usb start` is called on the terminal, the dwc2 driver will try to start every USB device as host first, even if it is explicitly configured as peripheral in the device tree (dr_mode = "peripheral"). So to avoid an unwanted 15 seconds delay when initializing the usb (one second per channel = 1s x 15), this patch adds a check to the initialization, and will skip host initialization of the device is explicitly set as peripheral. The checking is already done similarly in the `drivers/usb/gadget/dwc2_udc_otg.c` driver. Signed-off-by: João Loureiro <joaofl@gmail.com>

2020-12-13dm: treewide: Rename auto_alloc_size members to be shorterSimon Glass
This construct is quite long-winded. In earlier days it made some sense since auto-allocation was a strange concept. But with driver model now used pretty universally, we can shorten this to 'auto'. This reduces verbosity and makes it easier to read. Coincidentally it also ensures that every declaration is on one line, thus making dtoc's job easier. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2018-03-17usb: dwc2: Allow selection of data buffer sizeAlexey Brodkin
If we use hardware with very small RAM (let's consider just a couple of hundreds of kB but not megabytes) it is not super convenient to lose 64kB for statically allocated bufer which most probably won't be used as big as it is. Typically we'll have much shorter data packages to excahnge and in the worst case longer packets will be split on separate transactions. For those corner-cases user will be able to set his buffer size of choice via USB_DWC2_BUFFER_SIZE option in menuconfig. By default we'll use 64 kB as it was hard-coeded before so existing users shouldn't be affected at all. Signed-off-by: Alexey Brodkin <abrodkin@synopsys.com> Cc: Marek Vasut <marex@denx.de>
